Moderators Kevin H Posted February 27, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 27, 2015 I never was a Star Trek Fan, but I am sad to have just seen that Leonard Nimoy has died. I remember him from other programs and from the little bit of being in people's homes where they had Star Trek on. Remember seeing him on TV talk about how he came to take God and the Bible seriously in his life in the Jewish faith. And that some Adventists were thinking about using him for a series on the Sabbath since he loved the Sabbath. Members phkrause
Just heard that too. I loved that show. It was pretty interesting, the forerunner of many other sci-fi TV shows and movies. Also I wonder how he kept his Sabbaths during filming of the TV and than later the movie versions of Star Trek? Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Moderators Kevin H Posted February 28, 2015 Author Moderators Share Posted February 28, 2015 I am not sure he was a religious Jew at the time of the TV show. He talked about events in his life that lead him back to the Bible and God and his faith. Not sure just when it was.
Administrators Gail Posted February 28, 2015 Administrators Share Posted February 28, 2015 He was highly respected in any case.
