Stan
Dear Friends of Freedom: If today is an average day in America, three faithful Seventh-day Adventists will be fired for no crime other than obeying God. Who is going to stand up for them? Today, as I write, faithful Christians are being starved, tortured and murdered in gulags in North Korea. Who will be a voice for them? Today in some Muslim nations conversion to Christianity is punishable by death. Let me repeat that – if you convert to Christianity, the law gives the state the right to murder you. Who is going to fight against this gross injustice? You – if you choose to. This Christmas season you can give the gift of freedom through a gift membership in the North American Religious Liberty Association – www.religiousliberty.info A membership in NARLA includes - • A beautifully crafted silver membership pin; • A U.S. Capitol Christmas card personally signed by the NARLA executive director; • An annual subscription to the award winning Liberty magazine; • An individualized NARLA membership card; • An annual subscription to the outstanding new quarterly publication Frontlines of Freedom that gives an inside view of our religious liberty work on Capitol Hill and around the world; • Invitations to special events throughout the year including: a) An invitation to join Members of Congress, diplomats and church leaders at our spectacular annual religious liberty banquet held in the ornate U.S. Senate Caucus Room; An invitation to participate in our annual lobbying day on Capitol Hill; c) An invitation to our annual religious liberty prophecy seminar featuring the best Biblical scholars and the most experienced religious liberty practitioners; d) An invitation to the annual religious liberty conference held in cooperation with the Institute for International Religious Liberty at Andrews University; and e) A very special event planned in California this year. • And most importantly, by giving a gift membership in the North American Religious Liberty Association, you become a vital part of the effort to stop the abuse of believers both here in the U.S. and in every point on the globe. If you act today, we will rush your gift membership package, including a special signed U.S. Capitol Christmas card, silver membership pin, individualized membership card and a description of membership benefits, out the door to ensure it arrives at your loved one's home before Christmas day. Simply go to www.religiousliberty.info and click on the icon entitled "GIVE THE GIFT OF FREEDOM." Once you check the membership you are purchasing, you have the choice at the bottom of the page to direct who will receive the membership. To give multiple memberships, simply repeat the ordering process. This e-mail update goes to over 16,000 people, and our list is growing rapidly. We know that many of you forward on these messages to your friends, family and church e-mail lists – thank you for getting the message out! We conservatively estimate that each message reaches 48,000 people. Over 40,000 letters have now been sent through the NARLA website, we have an outstanding NARLA radio show hosted by Attorney Alan Reinach that plays nationwide on over 70 radio stations, we have two new religious liberty TV shows - one that I host on the Hope Channel and one that is hosted by my friend and colleague Nicholas Miller on 3ABN. Friends, great things are happening! But to move ahead, we need one thing more – we need you! You can join NARLA at www.religiousliberty.info and order your special Christmas gift memberships there. A NARLA membership is a wonderful gift and it is affordable. • An individual annual membership with all its benefits only costs $28 – you can't even get a full tank of gas these days for less than $30 – the NARLA membership is a great value; • A couple membership is only $38; and • We subsidize memberships for full-time students and thus only charge $10 – significantly less than the cost of bringing these memberships to students. We do this because we want to encourage young Adventists to build their faith by becoming involved in a movement far greater than their own self interest. You can get your special Christmas gift memberships at www.religiousliberty.info – this Christmas, let's give the gift of something more than just more stuff; let's give the gift of freedom! Who could you give a gift membership in NARLA to? How about: • Your children (a great way to connect them to an arm of the church that is intellectually rigorous, idealistic, and connects to issues in society); • Your parents (especially if they have an interest in Bible prophecy, religious liberty, and/or current events); • Your grandparents (a gift that keeps them informed all year long); • Your child's teachers (especially good for history, government and Bible teachers!); • Your grandchildren (keep them plugged into the great work their church is doing); • Your brothers and sisters (a lot better than another CD they may not like or book they may not read!); • Your church religious liberty leader (a gift every religious liberty leader will love); • Your church pastor (this is a gift that he will thank you for all year long – an easy way for him to stay current and involved); • Elders, deacons and deaconesses in your church (now is the time for every church leader to be plugged into what is going as the intersection between church and state becomes ever closer and more complex); • A neighbor or friend from work (a great way to introduce people to God's gift of freedom); • Friends from church (give them something they will value); and • Yourself and your spouse (don't leave yourselves out – you love the Lord and you love the liberty He has given to us – put your treasure where your heart is today). Make your Christmas giving count for something beyond crass consumerism - this Christmas, give the gift of freedom. Visit www.religiousliberty.info right now and order special Christmas gift memberships for those you love. You will be glad you did – and so will those who receive your gift of a special Christmas membership.
