Moderators james423 Posted September 24, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 24, 2016 Ruth Zollinger, the wife of retired Laurelbrook president Robert D. Zollinger (he retired in 2000), passed away a few weeks ago. Her memorial service was last weekend - September 17. Ruth and Bob Zollinger had worked together at Laurelbrook for 58 years. She served as a sort of presidential assistant and organized many of the campus activities like picnics, yearbooks (I took this over eventually), trips, and the like. For many years, she was the academy girls' dean. Many students felt she made the campus a more homelike place; the Zollinger home was often open to students in need physically, financially, spiritually, and otherwise. Laurelbrook will miss her.
