Morning Glory
Stan, I always thought that it meant Dear Hubby....present tense. NOT divorced.......At least that is how I use it: To refer to my dear husband/hubby Quote Kindness is the oil that takes the friction out of life. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted March 30, 2006 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2006 Late news from Andrews University: In today's meeting of the University Board, two significant actions were taken: 1) the creation of the position of University Provost, who will act as the Chief Operating Officer of the University and free the President to conduct the global role of relating to the external constituency; and 2) the request [and acceptance of same] for Dr. Niels-Erik Andreasen to continue on in his present position as President of the University. [This isn't the exact language; the exact wording will be disseminated in a briefing memo later today.] There was a standing ovation after this was read to the faculty and students today at a Board briefing. The audience then spontaneously erupted in a singing of the Doxology. Many, many prayers have been ascending to God on behalf of that university. God is good. The principal mover and shaker who had been trying to unseat the president was absent from the Board briefing session [though not absent from the Board meeting]. Ron Griffith
A good ending to the events - I'm glad that a wrong was righted.
