It is with great sadness that we inform the membership of The Remnant Online that Dr. Dugald T. Lewis died Sabbath morning in a Toronto hospital.

Dr. Dugald was a faithful Seventh-day Adventist Christian who loved the Lord and His work. He loved the souls for whom Christ died. He was a faithful husband and a good father. His family was ever on his heart. While always seeking to help those around him, he never lost sight of his first ministry to his family.

Dr. Dugald had a vision. He lived to see the church put into practice the counsels given regarding the hospital work. He was active in promoting the health work here at TRO and in Toronto where he had begun an active public health ministry.

As the moderator of the Right Arm and the Medical Missionary Work Forums, his work in our ministry was very important. His messages which included 171 topics will remain online. In appreciation of the importance of his work we will be converting his "Right Arm Forum" to a read only forum that will remain available for all to study. His experience as a surgeon combined with his study of the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy gave him a perpective of the medical missionary work that we all can learn from.

Words cannot express the loss that we feel here at The Remnant Online. We have lost a faithful worker, but more than that we have lost a very dear friend. While we sorrow over our loss, we are even more saddened by the loss of the young family whose strong pillar has been removed. May God comfort all in this tragic loss.
