Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 15, 2017 Members Posted September 15, 2017 I'm so proud of my 5th great grandfather, Rowland Rogers. He was a wealthy Quaker land-owner in Maryland in the 18th century. In 1786, he ordered the manumission (freedom) of his slaves, Adam, James, Chloe, Bobb, and Jimmey. The actual document is below. I'd love to find out what happened to those folks... I did find Adam in the 1790 census, owning a farm in Maryland, but nothing after that. phkrause 1 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
