They all came out of Protestant Churches and from the early Reformation this was the belief of all who separated from the Catholic Church. It is documented and Uriah Smith base his book from the Protestant belief and not from the Bible. EGW realize through THE HOLY SPIRIT after the 1888 GC session. She and her son went over her manuscript she wrote Testimony to the Ministers and Gospel Workers. It was finish and published just before she died and she said that Daniel and Revelation was not understood yet, but it would be just before YAHSHUA comes. 

What is taking place today is the movement away from those who claim to be so religious. They have shown where their heart truly ly and it is not with truth! The Bible says how can you love THE MOST HIGH who you have not seen and hate your brother who have seen. The Bible also said that as it was in the days of Noah and Sodom so shall it be in the days of YAHSHUA! Trump was set up to show the hidden agenda of the Evangelicals and SDA who voted for him. The same cruelty that they committed on my ancestors using the Bible is the same thing they are doing to day with the people of South America! We have more violence by White shooters killing a lot of people at one time with assault rifles than anyone else. They kill in colleges, stores, churches, the gambling mecca, schools and more. You can see the pure hatred and racism on Fox News and in Congress. It is like Trump shot them all with a dart, they are full of awful things without remorse. They curse more in Congress then ever before and Friday it was a disgrace! The Bible said be sure your sins will find you out and it is coming soon on evil Trump. Young people are turning away from religion because of the lies that they see and then it will not be long before all of this will end!

I was so taken aback by these remarks on the part of "stinsonmarri" that I haven't been here much to post over the last several days, (along with a trip to New York City, having my grandchildren (6 & 3 yo), a graphics card failure in my main computer, and a flood from severe storms). But reading her comments suggests to me that Trump Derangement Syndrome is still a persistant problem!

What is seriously so wrong with the remarks is the accusation that Trump is a racist and that even SDAs who support Trump are supporting an evil man. Apparently stinsonmarri's spiritual growth has allowed her to be able to see into a man's heart and even pronounce judgement on him. From my understanding of the Bible, that attitude is the very spirit of anti-Christ or one who would seek to sit in the place of God in judgement of others. So, to be throwing around terms like racist when undeserved is a crime equal to actual racism in my mind.

To me, that "race card" is just being used too much. I really do not believe anyone born, raised, and still alive in America have any idea what racism really even is. For those who would like to see a bit of what it really was like in the pre-civil war days, I recommend the film "12 Years A Slave" which is based on a true story of a northern black man kidnaped and sold into slavery. 

A "white" person can use the "N" word and lose his job, career, and incur many other social penalties. But gangsta rappers can make millions using the "N" word over and over with no social penalties. That is racism also!

But the plight of the black people in America is just one of the examples of the inhumanity of groups of people towards one another. Even blacks hate other blacks. Look at the number murdered in gang violence in Chicago (a "gun free zone") every year. Consider the massacres in Rwanda where even SDAs were accused of participating in killing of others for tribal issues. And Rwanda was black on black genocide.

And whites treat other whites inhumanely. I need go no further than how the Irish immigrants were treated. I can even add how the people of Appalachia have had their land plundered and their wealth stolen from them and the rest of America ate of the "spoils of this plundering" by way of the coal and lumbar industries. Most are probably not really aware of life in the coal camps and how people lived in poverty and debt to the coal company stores. To read more of this period of American history consider Henry Caudill's book "Night Comes to the Cumberlands" which fifty years ago rattled the country enough to start people looking at the poverty of the Appalachian people.

The reality of life is that even though you have disgruntled envious people in America and who carry on about the 1%, if you live in America, you are the 1% of the World! Consider the following video:

One can carry on about the situation in world regarding racism and exploitation of others, but if you live in America, you are so much more wealthy than most of the rest of the world. Can anyone here fathom having to live on less than $2/day? I suspect that it was entirely by permission of God Himself that Donald Trump became president and it is even fulfilling endtime events. While I personally am not impressed with socialist governments and have a right in this country to speak against them, there is no permission from heaven to trash and vilify someone who is a leftist. And vice versa.

To me it is amazing how you are so taken back about what I said. It didn't matter how President Obama was demoralize because of the color of his skin. You know I am not in this right or left garbage of politics. However, I feel that all people have a right to choose whom they want to serve. There is only one right way according to the Bible. I do not see it all today. Action does speak louder than words and that is not judgmental, that is facts. When you look at how a man acts, you can tell what type of person he is. Acts are his fruit that is what the Bible talks about. YAHWEH stated that HE not Satan put up all kings, that included Nimrod, Ahmose I, Ahab and Jezebel, Antiochus Epiphanes, Napoleon, Hitler, Kim Jong-un, Putin and Trump. There are plenty of them and you act like HE only allow righteous kings to reign. YAHWEH allow Satan to make his claim as well.

IMHO it is a sad state of affairs when one thinks he/she has "inside knowledge" to know how end time events will be fulfilled to the exclusion of all other scenarios.  I like to keep my mind open.  We will know end-time prophecy is being fulfilled as we watch it unfold.  I'm not going to look for a seal or a trumpet under every rock.  If the papacy is the antichrist, it will become abundantly obvious for those who are watching.  If some Islamic leader is the antichrist, it will be totally obvious for those who are watching.  Our job is to be ready for Jesus to come, regardless of how He does it.

We can be united on one thing - Jesus WILL return to receive His elect unto Himself.

When we study the Bible, we are exposed to its truths. Some study superficially. Some study diligently. And some study to verify  predetermined opinions. 

The superficial student accepts the word as it appears on first glance.

the diligent student studies the text, the words, the history and how it compares to other passages.

And those with a predetermined opinion toss our everything that might not agree with their views.

They all cannot be right. So it is a given that some of them will BE WRONG.

Daniel sums it up something like this: The wise will understand and the fools will remain in their folly (until it is too late).

I have chosen to be a diligent student and I am very confident that I know what I know and I will continue to learn as the Spirit leads.

The message of Revelation is sent to the 7 churches. 2 of them are found to be faultless. And 5 of them are commanded as to what to do to be acceptable to God.

When Moses led Israel during their 40 year wilderness trek, God did not gather the individuals, He waited for the "church" to unite and move into the promised land.

Do you suppose that God will abandon the 2 Churches in Revelation that are commended for their faithfulness or those 5 who heed Christ's counsel?

I'm already approved of God because I have put my faith in the righteousness of His Son Jesus Christ; which I believe counts as righteousness for me..  I already believe (in fact depend upon) the fact that He has already  provided for my salvation with His death and resurrection. I already wear Christ's righteousness - white as snow.  My own righteousness (or "getting it right) is meaningless - it is as filthy rags.  I hate to break it to you, but so is yours.  To depend upon "getting it right" doctrine- and behavior-wise rather than depending on the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ to bring us into the Kingdom is "getting it wrong".

The people around me usually err on the side of the Law.

It is Border Patrol and ICE job to enforce the law.  It is Congress' job to change the law.   Don't blame the enforcers.  Blame the lazy, infighting, politic-ing Congress (both parties) for not changing the law. 

Congress would not pass a law to keep parents with their children during the screening process.   Trump had to do it himself, with an executive order.   Congress will not deal with immigration, so the "family units" are now released with an assigned court appearance date.  Only 3%, on average, show up for that court appearance (Catch and Release).   Thus more and more immigration of "family units" is encouraged.  Bring a child - get to stay.  Which encourages child-stealing.  

Personally, I think that parents who bring children on very long and dangerous treks for the purpose of better employment, are guilty themselves of child endangerment.  THEY put the kids in danger.  Once across the border, the children were housed, clothed, fed, and entertained in greater safety, than they were during any part of their trip to the border.  And I'm glad they will be reunited with their parents.  

The United States cannot accommodate all the people who would like to immigrate.   (Recent poll estimated 160 million from countries around the world. That's a 50% increase in our population!)  Such numbers would OVERWHELM our schools, hospitals,  welfare systems, and local police (assuming high numbers of Central American gang members).  I have talked with Hispanic friends - several of them - who have kids in public school.  THEY want limited immigration (even the friends who are without documents themselves).  They all feel that unlimited immigration will lead to larger school class sizes, more special classes for students speaking less known dialects,  longer waits at hospitals and free clinics,  less money available for food stamps,  more chaos, more crime, etc. etc. etc.  

I don't particularly like Trump, as a person.  I really hate the chaos at the border because our Congress will not pass new laws.  

Back during Vietnam, our soldiers were sometimes booed or even spit at when they returned home through the airports.   Our nation learned its lesson, and now everyone supports those serving regardless of their opinion of national policy.   Border Patrol and ICE are serving our country!   They deserve our respect, whether you support the current president and his policies - or not.

The problem is we do not take HIM at HIS Word. We provide things that the Bible does not say. I see the last church who has a lot of problems, but I do not see that it a remnant. I see that the woman will have a seed that is a remnant and they are the 144,000. That is not a lot of people why because this is not a church/denomination but a seed! How clear is that? I see the same thing with Gideon who had a large army but it dwindle down to only 300 that defeated the Moabites which were a large encampment! The remnant is going to finish the Gospel and complete what the churches/congregation didn't or wouldn't do stop sinning. They are the tares! "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few!"?

Shelby Steele authored a good book on the subject of  "White Guilt", and racism (the new dirty label).   He is black by the way.   He writes that blacks in the US are now FREE (of discrimination), but they don't know how to live as FREE.  They continue to demonstrate, because it is part of their identity.   But it's falling flat (like the NFL players refusing to stand) because most folks no longer believe there is anything to demonstrate about.  

White guilt is not actual guilt.   It is the fear of being labeled as racist.  "Racist" is a label that whites are afraid of.  Politicians and businesses will go to great lengths to prove that they are not "racist".   The side labeling the other as "racist" is claiming the moral high-ground.  They are claiming that they are morally superior, so they deserve your vote, or your business.

A while back, I was invited to join the Gideon Society. When they found out I was an SDA, they changed their minds because I belonged to a "cult".  They said If I changed churches and got official membership in another religion, I could join their club.  Kinda reminded me of sprinkling incense before a statue of Caesar.  I refused; so they told me I could support them financially without joining.  I respectfully declined.
