Aliensanctuary Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Jesus' mission was to teach the people what the Kingdom of YHVH is like. If we don't know what the Kingdom is like, all we are is dust in the wind. Quote The Parable of the Lamb and the Pigpen https://www.createspace.com/3401451

JoeMo Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Interesting article. Don't know about the part of openly LGBTQ's (especially if they are openly participating in LGBTQ activities) serving in the Church. Other than that, I could live with the rest of the stuff. phkrause 1 Quote

I would question certain angles that seem to not be the whole picture, such as: Quote "What Is the Challenge Many who identify as LGBTQs and their families and friends in our churches feel that the Church is lacking in its ability to meet their questions and challenges. The risk of mental illness among LGBTQs is documented. Many fear rejection and do not trust that the Church can convey God's unconditional love to them. Many LGBTQs have learned to live with a feeling of exclusion from an IDK where the idea comes from that this is something partial to LGBTQ+ etc because if one were to remove the letters (acronym) they would much better realize their stated goal of "inclusion," for this quote aptly describes many people, of many different stripes. The thing that is sadly lacking is that we already have an "official belief" that should address the problem but no one wants to talk about it, much less exercise it in practice with LGBTQ+ or anyone else. The alleged "centralizing power" of the GC is not the problem. It is found in the centralizing of local influencers at the local church level who won't even look at you let alone speak to you when you walk into the church, or a church; and all because they have normalized the culture of stigma and shunning! It has nothing to do with the GC When was the last time "The Swedish Union" talked about the fundamental belief that talks about "Unity In Diversity?" Quote (2 Cor 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
