Asia Is Bigger Than the Moon

The moon isn't as big as it looks. It’s around 27% of the size of Earth and has 14.6 million square miles of surface area. Although this seems like a lot, it is significantly less than the total surface area of Asia, which is 17.2 million square miles — making Earth's biggest continent larger than the moon.

According to the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, the state's coastline stretches for nearly 34,000 miles — more than all of the other U.S. states combined. In case you’re wondering, Florida has 8,436 miles of coast, while
Louisiana has 7,721 miles. Of the 30 states that have a coastline, Indiana’s is the shortest — just 45 miles.

When you sneeze, air and particles travel through the nostrils at speeds over100 mph.  During this time, all bodily functions stop, including your heart, contributing to the impossibility of keeping one's eyes open during a sneeze.

In 1986 Congress & President Ronald Reagan signed Public Law 99-359, which changed Daylight Saving Time from the last Sunday in April to the first Sunday in April.  It was estimated to save the nation about 300,000 barrels of oil each year by adding most of the month April to D.S.T.

Researchers at the Texas Department of Highways in Fort Worth determined the cow population of the U.S. burps some 50 million tons of valuable hydrocarbons into the atmosphere each year.  The accumulated burps of ten average cows could keep a small house adequately heated and its stove operating for a year.

I wonder is that’s a nice way for them to say farting?

WWII fighter pilots in the South Pacific armed their airplanes while stationed with .50 caliber machine gun ammo belts measuring 27 feet before being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, he went through "the whole 9 yards", hence the term.

A recent study showed 25% of US drivers making a turn failed to use signals correctly. 48% of US lane changers failed to use signals. Such failures are responsible for up to 2 million preventable accidents a year.

Only 25%? I swear, it’s more like 90%.

ps:Not sure who did the survive, but I agree with James! When I take my walks I count the amount of drivers that actually use there turn signals, and most of the time it's usually only four out of ten that do!!
