cleverdics
If you are a pastor, studying to become one, or are interested in ministry, please have a look at a letter I wrote this morning after my devotional. I hope God impresses this message upon you as He has me. Church Fathers I look forward to your responses. Everyday Pastor Quote Being Christian is really simple. Look after your family and your mates, feel sorry for the idiots and leave the rest up to God. She'll be right mate!
Clio
I asked my pastor to visit my son, it's been 10 months. He hasn't done so. Quote A heart where He alone has first place.
Administrators Gail Posted June 19, 2006 Administrators Share Posted June 19, 2006 Paul said that the church has 10 000 teachers and not enough fathers... We have a WONDERFUL pastor! I wish you could attend here, Clio Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted June 19, 2006 Moderators Share Posted June 19, 2006 A Very good letter, Everyday! Especially because you include yourself in the admonitions. If your pastor/colleagues read this knowing that you yourself are taking the advice seriously, it should bring them to a realization of the importance of that part of their ministry. Of course, one human being can accomplish only so much. For that reason, the elders and deacons in the church must take up the campaign as well. Our members need their "elder brothers" and their "fathers"....! Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional.... Clio
Thanks Gail. But fortunately, since my salvation doesn't depend on being in an SDA church on Sabbath morning... I doubt if after one more visit, I will ever darken the door of an SDA church again. I have one more thing I need to do, will most likely do at the larger of the two SDA churches in our area, and then I will never go back. My daughter has picked up the burden, and I have been released from it. She is tempermentally better suited to witness in an SDA church in love anyway than I am. My calling is other. I will find others who are like myself and David McQueen to worship with. Quote A heart where He alone has first place.
