Count the "christian chruches" that are okay with abortion. Oh they mouth the silly excuse,"I would never get an abortion, but can't tell others what to do",it is really sad. Cowardly way out. Wish they would have some backbone. Not one that keeps promoting the killing of an inncoent child has ever stepped forward and answered some very simple questions. If it is not a child why can a pregnant woman pay a legal price for abusing drugs or alcohol and having an addicted baby? Her body, no baby, her choice. Leave her alone to do as she chooses. Her right to privacy dictates she can do exactly as she chooses with that thing residing in her stomach. If someone harms a pregnant woman and kills that thing she has carried for six months, leave the guilty party alone, don't charge him with manslaughter/murder. She can abort that thing at six months as her right to privacy. Those that are active in promoting "the right of women to abort their child" should be willing to answer those few questions. I wonder if the poster and those that share the same concern over what they see as taking away a constitutional right of women with the abortion ruling actually read the articles they seem to promote. Come July 1, NC will no longer be a refuge for those in dire need for basic healthcare, and for doctors who wish to practice in a state that respects the medical profession. Our new abortion ban restricts abortions prior to 12 weeks with medically unnecessary barriers and bans most abortions after 12 weeks. It became law on May 16th, a short 14 days after the public and most members of the legislature were first able read the bill that was introduced late in the night on May 2. Abortion is not basic health care. Would anyone on this forum care to step forward and answer a couple of questions that has been asked and ignored numerous times. True account, woman five months pregnant was a victim of domestic violence and lost her baby. Her partner was charged with second degree manslaughter.. Not sure why as according to law he did not kill a human being. Had that same woman gone that day to abortion clinic and "KILLED"that same five month whatever she would have been exercising her constitutional right. I had a son born at 7 months. I was 19 and scared to death of the possible multiple problems. According to todays laws with what it was feared I was facing I could have aborted that tiny whatever as my constitutional right. He was born struggling to breathe and as such could have been denied even comfort care, to say nothing of the effort that went into saving my son. Had I destroyed him at seven months out of my fears and refusal to accept a severely handicapped child would that have been a constitutional right or would I have murdered my child? So thankful today for him and the man he has become. Why was the baby of the woman that suffered domestic violence a little human being when prosecuting her partner and on the same day, different circumstances the destruction of that little human being could have been a constitutional right? Do you remember why abortions were made legal? Because abortions were getting out of hand!! They had the chance then and there to continue to make them illegal, but chose not to. Why?? Because they knew it would continue anyway. as a matter of fact I believe abortions came down, I could be wrong, but I don't think so?? Second, I read what I posted, I post things that I agree and don't necessarily agree with, but might be food for thought for others. That brings me to point number three, I don't need to reply to anyone. You post what you believe is important to you and no one asks you to answer for that, do they????? To support the right to choose to kill your child is supporting abotion My two sisters were killed by a drunk driver when I was a child. Before drunk driving was much of a concern. The guilty party never even ended up with probation. Today that man would have gone to prison because of the state telling him what he can and can't do in this regard. From what you have said you believe he had the right to choose and killing my sisters was between him and God. Ultimately it will be, so perhaps we need to get rid of the law that prohibits drinking and driving, Knew a man that beat his wife and terrorized his children. Finally he ended up injuring her requiring an ambulance and hospitalization. Then he went to jail. Should that have been left between him and God? The man that beat his wife who was five months pregnant and she lost the baby. He never should have been prosecuted. It occurred in the privacy of their own home and was between him and God. In all the above the laws have not prevented these incidences occurring. So why have them? With the many forms of birth control, even available to young teens free there is little excuse for abortions today. Domestic violence is out of control, alcoholism is out of control, just look at the out of control numbers slaughtered in Chicago every weekend. As the law hasn't prevented it. You post what you believe is important to you and no one asks you to answer for that, do they????? No you don't, but typically in a forum situation most answer when asked a question. Have I been asked lately, no but have many times in the past. The constant articles that put down all things conservative, all things white coming from you make a statement .
