Raymond Holmes is a graduate of Northern Michigan University, the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, and Andrews University. After serving 10 years as a Lutheran Minister, he became a Seventh-day Adventist in 1971 and has served the church as pastor, missionary, seminary professor, and author. Among his books are Stranger in My Home, Baptized But Buried Alive, Sing A New Song, The Last Word, and The Tip of the Iceburg. He is one of the founders of Adventist Affirm and the Adventist Theological Society, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Adventist Theological Society. He lives with his wife, Shirley, in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula where, in his retirement, he serves as the senior pastor of Christ Community Church of Seventh-day Adventists in Bessemer, Michigan.
