Gregg Tucker was a teacher of some 14 years at Faith Christian academy in Arvada, Colorado. After adopting a Black Afro-American daughter he became subject to racial slurs. In response he organized an anti-racism symposium for students. The result ended with his termination from employment. He filed a Federal lawsuit in 2019. The school argued for dismissal on the ground that all teachers were “ministers” and therefore federal courts had no authority. This past June 7, the appellate court ruled that the litigation could proceed.
