The resolution of the following problem will provide you with an example of a thought process that sometimes will lead to a solution to impossible problems. You have been given three (3) cups, A, B and C. Your task will be to place a total of10 coins in the three cups so that each cup contains an odd number of coins. NOTE: The answer will be provided later in this thread. phkrause 1 Quote Gregory
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted September 27, 2022 Author Moderators Share Posted September 27, 2022 Here is the answer: Step 1: Place 7 coins in A, 2 coins in B and one coin in C. Step 2: Place Cup C in Cup B Cup A now has 7 coins, Cup B has 3 coins and Cup C has 1 coin. You have successfully placed 10 coins in three cups with each cup holding an odd number of coins. phkrause 1 Quote Gregory
