Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted December 9, 2022 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2022 New Comets, in the average year are discovered about 200 times. Comet PanStarrs was discovered in June of 2011. If you wish to see it again, you should be able to do so in the year 107022. If you do not want to wait that long to see a previously known comet, Comet IRAS-Ataki-Alcock is expected to return in 2953. Some may wonder why I post such trivia. In part because I have a distinct sense of humor. But there is another reason: Cosmology interests me. My understanding is limited today. In the future that God has planned for me I can study comets, if I wish, directly from the hand of the creator. I will not be limited in my knowledge at that time.
