Members phkrause
Great article!! Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Jack Chaffin Jr
In my opinion, not so great. “When conservative evangelical Christians celebrate the Dobbs decision, we scarcely take into account the women who have spiritual beliefs about when human personhood begins that would allow them to terminate their pregnancies.” So unkind of those celebrating an action that makes it less likely that an infant will have its life taken from it! Since when is the wrongness of taking a life based on the personal beliefs of the person who chooses to do so? And, by the way, the Dobbs decision did not outlaw a single abortion. It simply prevented the Federal government from making that decision on a Constitutional basis.
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 12, 2023 Author Moderators Share Posted February 12, 2023 It is said by some authorities that Dobbs simply said that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution did not give women a Constitutional right. Other parts of the Constitution were not litigated. In actual fact there is a case making its way through the Courts that suggests that the 13th Amendment to the Constitution gives women a Constitutional right to have an abortion. We shall have to wait to see how that goes. Quote Gregory
