Real ID Act revisited

I work in a dmv, or DPS ofc., as they call it in Texas. Friday morning we had the latest of sevral office meetings discussing possible work hour changes coming up as a result of the real id act. The ofc manager, a sergeant, said we will probably have to work 12 hour days, 7 days a week. She also said that if someone doesn't like it, then find another job. I took this as a reference to previous incident when I refused to come in on a mandatory saturday. That's another story.

I am not advocating a panic response, but I do find it all very interesting, this real id act thing. Having more or less grown up adventist, and having read the great controversy, various other prophecy books, and listened to countless prophecy lectures in person and via satellite TV, I can see it all coming to pass. This real id act will require everyone in Texas, and everyone in the USA, to come into a dmv ofc, with 3 to 5 certified documents that will verify or reverify their identity. you will be required to take a digital photo, and you will need documentation to verifiy your residence.

This new real id state driver license, which is really a national id card, will give the government and various other private sector entities, the ability to instantly know your whole history. Not only that, it will give them the ability to track where you are at all times. Spooky stuff if you ask me.

I was recently part of something very simular to this. I received a letter from the DMV stating that I had to present myself along with several pieces of ID (chosen from a list provided and none of which were my drivers license) within 30 days or my drivers license would be revolked. So I gathered my papers and went in with a good book to wait for my number to be called. Upon reaching the counter the clerk looked at my letter and my documents then made a phone call. He told the person at the other end that he had a letter from the "sweep" and that I had verifiable documentation. Then there were alot of yes's and no's and he hung up. Then stamped my letter with a serial number, entered it into his computer and thanked me for doing my civic duty. I asked if that was it? And his reply was yes, dont lose that letter. I then asked what this was all about and I was again told not to lose the letter and thanked again. Very weird, very MIB.LOL I had a feeling it was all about illegal immigrants but you just never know.
