When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Moderators Kevin H Posted April 12, 2023 Moderators Share Posted April 12, 2023 While not being a big fan of MAD as a whole, there were some cartoonists who's work were routinely printed there who's works I really liked when I saw them. Al Jaffee was one of these. There was also Don Martin and Dave Berg. I had read how Dave Berg was a strong believer in God and the Bible. He was Jewish and also wrote for religious magazines, especially Jewish encouraging Jews to have a relationship with God. These men balanced a keen sense of humor, insights on life, and deep thought. They will be missed. Rahab and phkrause
