Best thing that could happen to this innocent child is to be denied the taking of her fathers last name

WASHINGTON — President Biden’s failure to acknowledge his seventh grandchild — who was born out of wedlock — was questioned at a White House press briefing Tuesday, a day after first son Hunter Biden appeared in court trying to reduce his child support payments to 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts.

“I wanted to ask about the trial going on in Arkansas with Hunter Biden and the child support,” the Daily Mail’s Emily Goodin said.

“Are the president and first lady monitoring that and how come they haven’t acknowledged the seventh grandchild?”

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre quickly shut down the line of questioning, saying: “I’m not gonna speak to that from here.”

Veteran journalist James Rosen of Newsmax tried to follow up by shouting, “Why not?” but Jean-Pierre ignored the question and called on a different reporter.

Biden, 80, has consistently snubbed his granddaughter, who turns five on Nov. 29, while doting on his other grandchildren — including Beau, Hunter’s 3-year-old son by second wife Melissa Cohen.

The president’s six other grandchildren were born within wedlock and each year their names are written on Christmas stockings displayed on a White House mantle — with Roberts omitted from the lineup.

Biden embraces 7th grandchild

Maureen Dowd gets results: Earlier this month, N.Y. Times columnist — who has covered President Biden for over 35 years — called him out for ignoring his seventh grandchild, Navy Joan, Hunter Biden's four-year-old daughter with Lunden Roberts.

💬 "[This] is not a political issue to us. It’s a human one," Dowd wrote.

• "[T]he president can’t defend Hunter on all his other messes and draw the line at accepting one little girl. You can’t punish her for something she had no choice about. The Bidens should embrace the life Hunter brought into the world, even if he didn’t consider her mother 'the dating type.'"

Yesterday, Biden acknowledged Navy for the first time — and echoed Dowd.

• "This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy," the president told People.

The president has also told Hunter he'd like to meet Navy when the time is right, The New York Times reports.
