8thdaypriest
Psalm 115:16 “The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.” (NIV) God gave this earth to mankind. God would not take back His “gift.” It belonged to mankind, to enjoy with God’s blessing, or to destroy - without Him. Genesis 1:26-28 “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth . . .'" The dominion of mankind, had to be protected by the LORD and His angels. Reason: Satan and his angels were stronger than humans. WHEN Adam knowingly disobeyed the LORD, this meant that the LORD could no longer especially protect Adam's dominion over the earth. Satan was stronger, so he took over the dominion of earth, that was given to humans. To RECOVER the DOMINION of the earth FOR mankind, God, needed a perfectly loyal/obedient/faithful MAN. God's Son would have to become that perfect man. It would be cheating, for Him to be "God," hiding in a man's body. It would not be cheating, for God the Father to perfectly "indwell" His human Son. As Jesus said, "The Father who dwells in Me, does the works." (John 14:10). To receive the promise of the Torah covenants, God's Son (AS A MAN), had to fulfill the conditions specified in those covenants. He did. He fulfilled every condition - AS A MAN. Daniel 7:14 "And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed." (NAS) The one who has dominion gets to chose whom He will admit to His dominion, and whom He will destroy from His dominion. Which is why "all judgment is committed to the Son."
