Nearly 1 in 3 Republicans believe Taylor Swift is part of a "covert" government effort to help Biden win the 2024 election, according to a new Monmouth poll.

• 46% of Americans writ large have heard about the baseless conspiracy theory propagated by the online right, while just 18% believe it to be true.

Why it matters: The alarming figures underscore how certain segments of the GOP — especially 2020 election deniers — are prone to believing conspiracy theories about the "deep state."

• 34% of Republicans, for example, believe that the FBI instigated the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, according to a recent Washington Post-University of Maryland poll.

I know some fairly right wing conservatives & I haven't heard about this Taylor Swift thing until now LOL! How are these folks saying she could help Biden win (other than suggesting her fans vote for him)? 

Seriously, you have a "conspiracy theory" as a signature block in every post you make about Protestants grasping hands with the Pope to presumably do bad stuff to SDA's (for going to church on Saturday).
