Phineas the cat has cerebellar hypoplasia, which occurs in humans as well as in animals.  His human owners have used their pet to inform the public as to its effects and to Facilite research into that condition.  The website below will also inform you as to how you could obtain a free subscription to Brain and Life, which provides accurate information as to human neurological conditions.  I have subscribed, at no cost to me, that that magazine for many years.  The present (February/March 2024) issue has an article (page 12) that examines the evidence that suggests that the consumption of coffee can reduce the incidence of several neurological diseases.  Another article (page 14) examines why people in the so-called Blue Zones (Loma Linda is mentioned.) live longer than other people.
