Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 22 Moderators Posted February 22 Crisis in Cuba: The following article reports on a SDA, pastoral care, crisis in Cuba. NOTE: For those reading that article who may not be SDA, to place a Master Guide in a pastoral position would be equivalent to the Methodists placing a Boy Scout in a pastoral position. https://atoday.org/church-in-cuba-ramps-up-youth-leadership-training-amid-pastoral-exodus/ Quote Gregory
Stan Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Cuba is the premier safe vacation place for Canadians. Something like one in 30 people go there every year. Maybe it is higher now. We have several Pastors who have immigrated to Canada. They go back at least once a year as they miss their friends and family. The Cuban Adventist Seminary trains Pastors from all over the world. It is $25 per month for a Cuban and $100 per month for a non-Cuban. All are required to do some community service.
