He has written against "sports"? Or, did I understand the article wrong.

Gustave, the brief comment in the 2nd article could be understood in two ways.  Or, possibly, it could be thought to apply to both ways.

*  Today, some SDA schools, primarily High Schools and Colleges, engage in sport competitions with other schools.   As an example, a SDA High School, might \ have a baseball team that competes with other similar schools. Some elements of Adventism disagree with that.  NOTE:   I would be surprised if any such football team existed.

*  It is possible that he might have written against SDA members attending (or watching on TV) a sports game.  But, I doubt it.  I think that it is most likely to be the first one that I mentioned.

ps:Was wondering if this was unexpected? I've read a few articles here and there that everyone was really expecting TW to be elected again!!!!!

I heard through several places that Pastor Wilson would retire. Perhaps that is why he made some of the comments he did. 

Calling people instigators and conspiracy theories.

There was a lot of speculation.  Some of it involved people thinking that Kohler might be the next President.

My personal opinion is:  We do not yet know the full story.
