Mistake or happy accident?

Bob Ross called mistakes happy accidents...  This is unfinished and I have gone farther but the mistake here was that the masking fluid that I used on 3 of the cherries refused to lift off after the paint was dried.

So, instead of bright, white areas I ended up with greyish lumpy spots. My fix is to use a textured fixative on top and then covering with white.

I have since bought a different jar of frisket. LynnDel, remember that this happened with one of those masking fluid pens that are German-made. I like the idea but for some reason it didn't work properly.

Neocolor II, and I am thinking I will finish using Caran d'Ache Museum wax-based pencils or Luminance since I started with a wax-based medium. I could sharpen the pastels but I don't want to waste them.
