Garbage worker sent to jail for starting work early

It IS the responsibility of the reporter to report stories accurately, and if they're relaying a story with such a misleading headline, they're a very poor journalist. The headline plays right into the whole "American values are going the way of the dodo" narrative, by implying that the man was fired for literally no reason other than being a hard worker. If I were to look at the comments on most of the websites responding this story with this headline, I expect that they're all very far to the right, and that the majority of the comments will be just taking the headline and running with it, using it as an excuse to complain about Obama and bemoan the fall of America. I suspect that higher quality sources aren't reporting on this incident at all, because there's no real story here. Man disobeys regulations repeatedly and gets arrested. Yay.

Scuba, it might work better if you divided your OP into 4 or more posts. 5400+ words in one post is not likely to get read by very many people, and might render moot your efforts in posting the topic.. (just a suggestion)

    The no name Thread

What if the New World Government decrees that the ONLY DAY on which you can get "paid" in electronic money, is on the Sabbath. And you have to go to a special government place to get your "pay". THAT would tie the Sabbath and earning money - together. If you want to see what rationing is like, when your currency collapses, just look at Venezuela right now. Rationing has been implemented, to prevent the cartels from buying up food and then selling it back to people at inflated prices. A fingerprint ID system has been put in place at grocery store checkout stations, to prevent "food hording".

Four things found in most Emerging Church movements.

We have had a numer of presidents of the General Conference who have disagreed on certain points of doctrine. Many years ago I was asked to interpret for the president when he visited Norway. His name was Neil Wilson and he strongly disapproved of certain doctrines his son, Ted, endorses today. Some may approve of the views of Neil, others of Ted. Are any of them more or less Seventh-day Adventist?

Even if he knew, it was all George Bush's fault anyway!
