Supreme Court will hear Arguments: Gay Marriage= Sep. of Church N State

This is what concerns me Gay. I have seen churches almost split up when a person of the gay agenda comes into the church with an agenda-not repentance. The stage is set up with the emphasis on love and compassion. This tugs at the heartstrings and hopes of the congregation as a whole towards the person. This is the beginning of the split because people will be handcuffed to represent bible truth without being seen or accused of unloving and intolerant. Just in this post you have set this up. You claim "good Christians" will spit you out and eat you alive in regards to this misapplication, misunderstanding and context of the passages list by the poster you quoted. This is usually because you will probably claim that it was not committed same sex relationships that was part of the sin of Sodom, but it was homosexual rape, and inhospitality that was the sin. It then carries on that the verses against same sex acts are geared towards cultic homosexual acts, non committed same sex acts-not loving monogamous same sex relationships If you could answer yes or no please

Sample of drag and drop post

Reminds me of a time when we briefly motored through the Wankie Game Preserve in what is now Zimbabwe. A big bull elephant like the one in your video was grazing with his herd a short distance away. We stopped to observe. All of a sudden, he got the idea that we needed to be chased away and came on a run with ears fully out and making a loud noise. Needless to say, we got out of there. Later I was told by some people in the country that he was harmless. Yet just a day or two before elephants like that had reduced a VW bus to a mound of metal two feet high (no one was injured - they had gotten out. I wasn't going to linger around to find out if this beast was harmless or not.

    Do Non-Christians Go to Heaven?

ESV | Ro 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them This gives me the idea that there will be Gentiles BC & AD who will be in the new earth.

Integration of all of the powers of our being in living God's will pertains to healing, development, and maturity. And our heavenly Father is a good Father who is growing us. As broken human beings in a broken world we are kind of a jumble of what we were created to be. We are vulnerable to deception so He calls us, and we come to His word and in naked faith trust in His mighty promises that sweep over our whole lives and over our brokenness and hold us in His love to His will. Our feelings will never lead us to God. Our pain may lead us to cry out for comfort, but he has more to give us then comfort. It takes very little to non verbally satiate us apart from God for we are rich and increased in goods and have need of nothing, and do not know we are blind poor miserable, and naked. He has given us Jesus and everything given to us in Jesus. [Read the following...] 1 corinthians 4:14,19; Romans 8:26; John 4:24; Jeremiah 17:9 Thanks for the post it brought me to a bit of meditation. Sadly in our human condition we can experience lots of awe, and warmth, and comforts, and not know God, just as we can experience lots of pain, and anguish, and distress, and know God.

  5. Let's keep in mind how the Mark of the Beast will be -- people receive it "on their hand," or "in the forehead" -- which means, if it's in the forehead they believe in it -- and if it's in the hand, they just go along with it out of convenience and don't really believe it... It seems that Sunday-keepers in Nepal are worshiping on Saturdays merely out of "convenience," NOT because they believe in the 7th day Sabbath. BTW, back when 9/11 happened, I believe I heard that 9 Adventists died on that day -- including one who was going to his very first day of work in the Twin Towers -- it always seemed to me that this was not very good protection by GOD for putting one of us "in the WRONG place at just the WRONG time"... The bottom line seems to be, some of us will live, and some of us will die -- which basically just puts people on the "fast track" to Heaven (or the other place)!

  6. Now coming up on 4000 human beings killed. Do you think God is only weeping if there turns out to be an Adventist, or someone who through various twisted logics can be made to look like one? They're *all* his children. He died for all of them. If our heart is like his, we weep for all of them.

This is a MUST READ for a couple of friends on mine...

    "You carry matters to extremes and do harm to your own soul and to the truth. YOU MAKE THE TRUTH REPULSIVE AND CAUSE SOULS TO BE AFRAID OF IT. Let love soften your words and give tone to your actions, and you will find a change in those with whom you associate. There will be peace, union, and harmony, instead of strife, jealousy, and discord. Let love and tenderness be exercised, . . . and you will receive a blessing." {2T 439.1}

  8. Dear folks, would u pls to double-check the accuracy of this facts-based news about the Nepal Earthquake in Adventist Review? http://www.adventistreview.org/church-news/story2578-adventist-leader-in-nepal-tells-of-panic-and-pain It says "In Nepal, all Christians worship on Saturday because it is a nonworking day unlike Sunday, when the country works." "So far no Adventist has been killed,” Pokharel told the Adventist Review on Sunday. “However, many Christians were buried while they were worshiping on Sabbath and died.” Opps... wait a minute...It seems too good to be true... "No Adventists were injured" is different than "No Adventists were killed". None injured means such a total protection. However, since all Sunday keepers escorted to be allowed to worship on Saturday due to their policy and rules, those non-Adventist Christians were worshiping the same Living God as Adventists on that Saturday. Then the big earthquake came in the middle of the Saturday worship hours. To be honest, most of the construction- infrastructure of Adventist churches/schools/hospitals in Nepal considered the poor building materials since the church members and missionaries have no enough money for the most building projects for the better constructions. In other words, the other protestant churches are well-built and much stronger churches. Here's the huge gap of human logic... How come the Adventist Review made a statement that ""So far no Adventist has been killed,” Pokharel told the Adventist Review on Sunday. “However, many Christians were buried while they were worshiping on Sabbath and died.” When Adventists fully survived, I think the non-SDA churches deserved the same, and not buried alive since they are also worshipping the same God as Adventists' especially since they have a much better churches' construction. Unfortunately they are buried alive and killed while worshiping the same God as Adventists'. (Btw, we have the same Jesus too, right?) Nevertheless the Adventist Review still need to keep the accuracy and the real fact of each news. We don't quite sure if this is just as the 'phony' news or the real facts even yet.

    I've started filming the police

I made the decision the start filming police stops and activity when I can. I was driving my son to a basketball workout on Sunday. We passed by three state troopers surronding a kid who was sitting on the kerb. I said to my son, " I think we should stop". He said "I was thinking the same thing". I swung the car around. We stopped and I got out and filmed from distance of about 30 feet for about 8 minutes. We left when they left. Cop asked me if he was going to be famous. I said "probably not".

Have You ever spent time alone with God in prayer and not said one word? Not waiting for His voice necessarily . Just kneeling to profound to talk. Absorbing yet not understanding what's going on. Alone with your thoughts of Him. With Him. No time limit. Not rehearsed. In Awe. Not making sense. Floods of knowing words do not mean a thing right now. Struck dumb in awe. Afraid this will too will be fleeting. Wanting to carry that around all day with you. Just walk and work and play with that moment in your head. All the day. Later seeing someone you know you should ask Forgiveness from. And in humility confess to the other. Hands in theirs Tears in the eyes. Words are not good enough it seems all over again..

The Jewish Boy and the Muslim Boy

David, a Jewish boy, and Ali, a Muslim boy, are having a conversation. Ali: I'm getting operated on tomorrow. David: Oh? What are they going to do? Ali: Circumcise me! David: I had that done when I was just a few days old. Ali: Did it hurt? David: I couldn't walk for a year!

That's good, Laz. We need to expose the wrong, whether on the part of the police making the arrest or the part of the suspect. BTW, I just saw the pictures of the six policemen who were indicted on the death of Freddie Gray. Three look black and the other three look white.

    Can you solve this?

Someone got me thinking - we're assuming these are normal base-10 numbers. Perhaps in some other number base it can be solved? If it is in 'base-x', then '30' is just 3x. Single digit numbers are just themselves, and double digit numbers are x+{the second digit} since they only go to 1 in the left-most digit. So, for example, if it's in base-3, the answer on the right is 3x3 = 9 in decimal. 1 + 3 + '11' (which is 4 in decimal) = 8 in decimal, so it misses, and if we go to '13' (6 in decimal) it goes to 10 as the answer and still misses. Given that the number '15' can occur (as stated in the question), it's likely to be at least base-6 (digits 0 to 5), and maybe an even number will work better than an odd. In base-6, '30' is 18 in decimal. 3 + 7 + '11' (which is 7 in decimal) = 17 in decimal Hmm - still getting odd numbered answers from the left hand side, needing even numbered answers on the right hand side and still being able to only increment and decrement the left hand side in twos. Base-7 will give us an odd-numbered right hand side: '30' is 21 in decimal. 5 + 7 + '11' (which is 8 in decimal) = 20... d'oh! Now we have odd on the right and even on the left, and can *still* only jump in twos! We'll, I'm defeated there, but maybe my struggles will give someone else a helpful idea.

O.K. I will respond to one aspect of the post above: As I understand it, the statement was made that it is an oxymoron to say that one can be a gay-Christian. Let me ask a question: I have a sister who is an alcoholic. Due to therapy and other things, to include prayer and God, she has not had a drink in more than 10 years. But, she is an alcoholic. Would you say that it would be an oxymoron to call her a Christian? She may or may not be. But, based upon that one issue would you say that it is an oxymoron to call her a Christian. In a previous time I my life, I worked extensively with HIV infected people. The majority were adult male homosexuals. However some were children, some were female and some were not homosexual. Some were either members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or stated that the SDA Church was their church of preference. Of those HIV infected people, a few who acknowledged that they were homosexual were celibate. Would you say that it would be an oxymoron to call a celibate homosexual a Christian? What about a homosexual who had failed in an attempt to be celibate? If you would not call those people, it appears to me that you have equated being a Christian with the achievement of a certain standard of lifestyle. Many would suggest that one is a Christian at the moment of making a commitment to follow Christ, rather than achieving a specific level of perfection. Many would suggest that a victory over every sin is a gift of the Holy Spirit, rather than a personal achievement of victory. Brotherly Love, I do not know you. However, I suspect that somewhere in your life you have some sin that you have not yet obtained victory over. In fact, you may not at this time re cognize it as sin. You may not be struggling with it. If this is so, that is the responsibility of the Holy Spirit. It is not my responsibility to point it out and to tell you that it would be an oxymoron to call you a Christian. IT may be that you have not yet obtained victory over that sin because God has not yet given you victory. Or, it may be that you have not yet obtained victory because you do not want such. But, that is for God to determine. Only God knows. I do not. The same would apply to you if you were to say that it is an oxymoron to call someone a Christian just because they are gay.

    Marriage in Heaven?

Adam was created from "dust" and Eve was a clone of Adam with one genetic modification XY to XX. They were physical beings. They were NOT immortal beings with the "spiritual body". Jesus said, "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God". But Adam and Eve were flesh and blood. Which, to me, says they were created - on probation. The redeemed will receive the "spiritual body" at the Second Coming. We really cannot know exactly WHAT the "spiritual body" will be capable of.

  21. God wept for Cain also. Weeping is a good start but there is only one way to the kingdom. Jesus said to him, "I am the way...John 14 1“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. 2“But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. 3“To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4“When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5“A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6This figure of speech Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them. 7So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep....John 10 God is Love! 23. I know that it has been frequently said that that the GC Executive Committee never did anything to to follow up on the resolution that had been referred to them in 1881. That has mostly been a conclusion reached by some who are opposed to WO. I think that perhaps they were looking only for some follow up documentation of what they did. I have concluded that there were in fact actions consistent with that 1881 resolution. The Michigan Conference acted positively on it and so did the General Conference. The 1881 GC Session minutes reflects that the president of the Michigan Conference was present and participated in the discussion of the resolution. In 1883, that same man signed a credential issued by the Michigan Conference to Ellen G. White identifying her as an ordained minister. In subsequent years for the rest of her life, the General Conference itself issued the same credential to her. The credentials were signed by two officers of the General Conference. Just a few short years after the 1881 resolution, two of the officers of the GC who were a part of the GC Executive Committee to which the resolution had been referred were in fact the ones who signed her credential issued by the General Conference. And several of those on the GC Executive Committee were present for the 1881 discussion of the resolution. I would submit that there is indeed evidence that something did indeed happen with that resolution. It appears that with no opposition or dissension they simply acted consistent with the resolution by officially recognizing EGW as an ordained minister.

    Not sure why i'm Irritated

"Power and authority" and "governance." Those are ideas which Ted seems to dwell on which I feel should never be emphasized in a spiritual, church, organization. This is a place for WORSHIP, for INSPIRATION, for POINTING PEOPLE TO GOD. Not any of the worldly types of organizational themes should be dominant. [Although I realize that the organization requires money on which to operate.] I was a denominational employee for the first half of my professional life, beginning right after college and lasting through at least my "mothering" years. I always made it a rule to attend GC Sessions -- mostly because I became inspired there, and because the leaders all across the world field were mostly my contemporaries, and I knew most of them from college or from my teaching career. But now, all those my age have died off or at least retired. But also there's a problem for me -- because our organization seems to have become so preoccupied with NUMBERS, with SCORE KEEPING. I say, Who CARES how many members each conference has?! Who cares who is elected president of which (largest) conference....??! We should spend our convention time in study of the Scriptures, in ministry to the poor on the streets of the city, --and then we should go HOME, and be inspired to do the same things back in our home towns. My local conference president is a shining example of how we trust God to see us through the financial problems which arise. Too bad he'll be retiring this year. He speaks only briefly [in our committee meetings] of the logistical and financial problems our conference is facing, and then brings out Scriptural examples of how God led His people to the brink of a river, but as soon as the priests (who were carrying the ark of the covenant) set foot in the water, those waters parted and they crossed over on dry land. This is what our leader keeps praying for and trusting God for. I'm so inspired by him. This organization is led by mortal men and women. But God is in control. Let us praise God and trust Him, and continue to pray and study and prepare ourselves for the coming crisis. It won't be long now, and He who shall come will come, with all His holy angels with Him. I'm living in expectation of that wonderful event. San Antonio can proceed without my presence. But I'll be praying that it becomes a worshipful experience -- unity in THAT respect only; but no "unity" of belief re: WO. That's not necessary. Let each conference make its own decision on that count. Well, dear Editor, you can please edit this as much as you please. I know I was too long-winded.
