  1. Contrary to Trump's representation, the voices of individual church members, or even church employees, have not "been taken away." Instead, they may independently advocate for or against any candidates of their choosing, but they cannot use their houses of worship as vehicles for doing so. Man and woman created as equals

I read books other than the Bible. I don't choose my doctrinal beliefs based on books other than the Bible and Ellen White. But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines, and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority,— not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support. {GC88 595.1} Many posting here uplift the opinions of learned men. Mrs. White tells us not to do so. I regard her writings as messages from God, and therefore, as God's special instructions to me. It follows, then, that to obey God, it is my duty to demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord." Anyone trying to dissuade me from this is speaking for God's Enemy. Women's ordination has no support via a plain "Thus saith the Lord."

the Word of God also contains quotes from extrabiblical sources in order that the readers could better understand, from the context of their times and culture... for example, Paul, in Acts, stated, "And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, 'Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks'" (Acts 26:14) The phrase “kick against the pricks” “comes from Aeschylus (525-456 B.C.) in his work, Agamemnon. (line 1624) "Pricks" were the jabs that farmers would give to their oxen if the beasts began to be obstinate and refuse to obey. Taken at face value in this day and age, the word could have a very different meaning — or the phrase might have no meaning at all to the contemporary reader. Context and culture are important in reading the Bible. And if one is really interested in understanding the deeper layers of the scriptures (and there *are* deeper layers), the only way is to do extrabiblical study. IMHO.

My answers to the 'Top Ten list...... 10. Suggests women are not loyal and we know nothing of the 2nd part, over all offensive to women. 9. Again, just plain offensive. 8. Unknown, but still rather disparaging....ie..all are called. 7. Uh, not all women have families. 6. Erroneous, and offensive. 5. Unknown, same as #8 4. Erroneous, and offensive. 3. Unknown and an assumption. 2. True, but in which way. 1. A matter of opinion I am troubled by some of the questions as they seem to indicate a rather poor view of women.

    The END of Sacrifices?

Allowing hunting is debatable; but it appears that He will allow fishing. " As I went back, I saw on the bank of the river very many trees on the one side and on the other. 8 And he said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, and enters the sea;[b] when the water flows into the sea, the water will become fresh.[c] 9 And wherever the river goes,[d] every living creature that swarms will live, and there will be very many fish. For this water goes there, that the waters of the sea[e] may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes. 10 Fishermen will stand beside the sea. From Engedi to Eneglaim it will be a place for the spreading of nets. Its fish will be of very many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea. (Ezek. 47:7-10) Some may say this refers to disciples being "fishers of men"; but this is in the Kingdom! We won't be fishing for men any more because all who are in the Kingdom are already saved. So we're fishing for fish.

Jack Sequeira - Teacher of new light or Teacher of Error?

I don't believe he is a teacher of any new light, just a spin of old light. And he can't be a false prophet because he's never been considered a prophet in the first place. pk
