Sorry Kevin to take so long to respond to this thought: the pioneers in general did not see dis-fellowship on differences of belief as a solution to differences but evidence of the spirit of Rome, the Berean way is the only solution to differences. Today is not the same, now to be a none-trinitarian will even get you dis-fellowshipped for failing to teach it. This I know as I know of 5 people that have been in the last 10 years, and not for being rude or forceful as some from either opinion can be, in 3 different Divisions. Sure don't get where your coming from on the Father and the Law, as a Pentecostal Trinitarion for some that was a fact but under righteousness by faith Christ is the law unto salvation. I will read "Confrontation" as it is one of the few I have never read, so where in the Estate can I find the original you speak of as I have said before I don't have much faith in compilations, context always seems to suffer.
Apart from that I have never heard of anyone coming to the conclusions you state about the temptation of Christ. So where did E G start to use God the Son and God the Holy spirit, a few quotes would sure put a lot of concerns to rest. I await your provision of such if in this book, save me a lot of reading.
