Of course not! Why go through all this painful process, just to be turned into "robots"? If God was going to do THAT - He would just have created Adam and Eve as "robots" in the first place. God desires love - and love (by definition) must be freely given. What does the indwelling spirit of Christ do? Christ does NOT over-ride our free will. He enlightens. He gives wisdom. He guides. He implores. He empowers our will. He adds His power to our measly power, but we must throw the switch as-it-were. Sort of like using a power tool. The power tool adds power to accomplish what you were trying to do. Satan can add power too, but to accomplish evil things. And Satan DOES over-ride a human's free will, given the opportunity.

I danced at my daughters wedding, with her(not very well) and would not have missed out on doing that for anything!

It doesn't say that the bride and groom were SDA -- just that their SDA relatives stopped the dancing. If the bride and groom were indeed *not* SDA, then their SDA relatives had no business telling them what to do. (Actually, in my mind, nobody should be telling a bridal couple what to do or not to do at a wedding....but I realize there could be regional cultural mores that might need to be considered.)

I love my old dog. She knows my routines better than I do. She goes and gets in her cage when she sees me getting ready to go, without me having to tell her. She greets me at the door when I come back. I know and interact with other people, but primarily it is my wife and our dog. The thing I dislike about dogs is you grow so attached to them and vise versa. Then when you have to depart it hurts so much. I had this happen to me once before. That's life I guess.
