nobody is required to read the Barely Adventist articles.
And "Fake News" is getting to be a tiresome catch-phrase, here and elsewhere. Are people really that stupid that they can't determine if a story is a hoax? (a rhetorical question)
I don't think I've seen a Barely Adventist article that intentionally "poked fun at the expense of people who were genuinely hurting."
Sorry for the need to inform, but life isn't fair. People *will* hurt you. Neither the church nor Christians are perfect. Hurt and insults are just going to happen. Intentionally hurting people, of course, is wrong. But much of the "hurt" that is perceived is not done intentionally by others. We live inside of ourselves. We talk to ourselves. Most of what we perceive is filtered though our own subjective experiences, thoughts and self-talk, as well as what we've unconsciously *pre-determined* might be the nature of an expected or perceived insult. We really *do* need to take some responsibility for our own hurt feelings, and not automatically assume that the Christian Insult Mafia is hiding under every rock, around every corner, in every story we don't like, and in every post with which we don't agree on a forum.
