sure there is. There are many hermaphrodites, as well as other individuals who have genetic misconfigurations that can affect the sexual structure and hormonal disposition of a person...1 point -

What about the TRINITY....have we lost our WAY?
JoeMo reacted to CoAspen for a topic
My understanding at this point in life would be as Deb has stated. A belief in Christ and not necessarily a correct understanding of what God is and isn't. Even to believe in a Christ means to believe in the supernatural, which is difficult at best. Then to decide if there a 1,2 or 3 individuals or beings requires more supernatural thinking. I have no issue with the differeing views on the matter of 'trinity'. The Bible speaks of 3 entities, but to me is not that clear as to the physical being of those entities. What was Christ like before comming to earth? Does He still have a human form in this place called heaven or simply able to be what ever is required? So many questions, so few answers, so I am lead to believe that the intricacies of these being, or what ever one chooses to call them, is less important than to simply believe. A rather curious, supernatural subject! Carry on.1 point -

In spite of many differences, Koresh’s free-wheeling use of proof-texts from the Bible, interspersed with quotations from Ellen White, mean he was a bit more Adventist than most Adventists would like. The Branch Davidians kept the Sabbath, were vegetarians, abstained from tobacco, alcohol and most drugs, were constantly talking about Bible prophecy, and believed that […] The post Waco and My Family appeared first on Jon Paulien's Blog. What about the TRINITY....have we lost our WAY?
JoeMo reacted to debbym for a topic
if you are righteous by a an absolutely correct understanding, then how you think of these details would be very important. below is quoted from the booklet "Ten Great Gospel Truths" compiled by Robert Wieland "Christ is a Good Shepherd who is seeking His lost sheep even though we have not sought Him. A misunderstanding of God’s character causes us to think He is trying to hide from us. There is no parable of a lost sheep that must seek and find its Shepherd. This truth flows naturally and logically from the gospel as Good News (Luke 15:1-10). The false idea is that like a shopkeeper, the Lord regards us indifferently until we take the initiative to ferret Him out from His hiding place. The truth is that He seeks us (Psalm 119:176; Ezekiel 34:16). 1 If anyone is saved at last it will be due to God’s initiative; if anyone is lost at last, it will be due to his own initiative (Jeremiah 31:3; John 3:16-19). Our salvation does not depend on our maintaining a relationship with God; it depends on our believing that He stands at the door and knocks—seeking to maintain that relationship with us unless we break it off (Revelation 3:20)."1 point -

Ah, yes...the blame game. Seen this many times over the years, that is Satans agenda. He who is without sin...go and cast the first stone. The question that was not answered, how do you know that that a trans male or female is modeling inappropriate behavior? What of the female or male teacher? Plenty of them are modeling the wrong behaviors! They can be named, in the news quite often. Does a divorced male or female teacher model the wrong behavior? What is proper womanhood or proper manhood that is being spoken about? Yes, many studies support the idea of both female and male being important in the development of a child. But it is being suggested that a transgendered male or female teacher can't accomplish what is needed in the school room is without support. The basics of the 'issue' are no different to me than any other 'fear' about differences that have been exhibited down through the centuries of christianity or in the world at large. That what is outside a groups/individuls norm, is to be feared and excluded from any type of attempt at understanding or compassion. Unclean, unclean!! Acceptance is not destroying church and nation, but rather divisive rhetoric. Many a church and nation has destoyed families under the guise of God. Study history, and the argument above has been shown to be misleading.1 point -

It seems that everyone is getting so worked up by anything they imagine to be a sexually related news item. It was a non-issue that has had too many electrons wasted over. I recall one time many years ago going to the YMCA in the winter time to swim and upon arriving discovered that all the boys swam nude! I was never allowed to go back. Even the lifeguards patrolled the pool in the nude. This was the way it was in the YMCA until the late 70s from whenever. In fact, you can find that historically in many public swimming areas, boys up to the age of 10 would swim nude in mixed companies. Unfortunately, the feminists started their invasion of the YMCA and now they are in many areas little more than neighborhood daycare centers. Public schools back then often had their gym classes (swim) in the nude. Often credited to single overbearing moms of boys who were threatening lawsuits, many high schools no longer provide or mandate showers after gym class. High schools are said to often be filled with stenchy kids by the end of who spritzed on some cologne to cover up having been to gym class and not showered after. My kids, when in high school, reported that the showers had been turned into storage areas. When I was in high school, there would be well over 100 boys all trying to get thru showers on the way back to class with gym teachers standing by to make sure everyone got their showers. I do not know what the girls dorms were like, but the boys/mens dorms in Adventist academies and colleges had gang showers. I won't even go into nudity in the military! The girls in the article were I believe were seniors participating in a survival exercise. "Survival exercise" suggest that there were not all the usual comfort of modern life. They were roughing it. I guess for some people, it was probably good that sin entered the world and we had to start wearing clothing!1 point
