A chill coming in American culture

rape is about abuse of power. homosexual rape is also abuse of power. We are to use our power to give life protect life and empower life. Their destruction it was not about homosexuality it was murder and rape and wanton disregard for life. As stewards of their lives, the people who were destroyed by God had exhausted every mercy, every pleading, and became guilty of rejecting the Holy Spirit and lost all restraint of evil. God help us to be established in a life rooted in and built on the Love of Christ, and continually fed by streams of light by the Holy Spirit2 points -

I was classified as a missionary, I think, and went to 'missionary school' prior to moving there and so on, but my role was as a teacher educator. Pacific Adventist University (then Pacific Adventist College) draws students from all over the Pacific, not just Papua New Guinea, so I taught Samoan, Fijian and Solomon Islands students as well as Papua New Guineans. My particular field is science education, so I was involved in preparing the Adventist physics and chemistry teachers for the region. It was a great time in our lives: we had a 2 year old daughter when we moved to PNG and our second daughter was born while we lived there. I ended up coming back to Australia sooner than originally planned to start my PhD.2 points -
The One Project
phkrause reacted to Gregory Matthews for a topic
A number of months ago, I reported on the death of The One Project. At a later time, I reported that it, like a Phoenix had risen from its ashes, and a small meeting was planned for the future. Following that meeting, I reported that it might have a future, but that future was not certain. Well, today, I report that The One Project is likely to continue: * There will be a change in some leadership. Some of the leaders in the past are moving on to other projects. * The new leadership may have some of the old, along with some new leadership. * No predictions can be made at this time as to how The One Project will be conducted in future meetings. * However, it is likely that future meetings will start much smaller than they have been in the past. * It is likely that the first of the future meetings will take place in February of 2020. * As to other issues, it remains to be seen how they will develop. So, I will not further report, at this time.1 point -

We should not consider the fact that a certain practice existed in the early church as an ipso facto establishment of that practice as a Biblical/Christian practice. After all, the early Church Councils were called to sift out some of the practices which were ruled not to be Biblical.1 point -

It is an established fact the early leaders in what became the SDA denomination were NOT Trinitarian. The comment by Gustave as to the hominid God seems to me to more reflect the thinking of Dr. Kellogg, than it does the thinking of other SDAs. It should be remembered that he went well beyond the thinking of what became the SDA denomination. As to Christ as an Archangel: As this has been developed in the SDA denomination, it is proposed that Christ, was a member of the Godhead, and was not a created being, more directly supervised the angels. In SDA thought, Lucifer was never considered to be a member of the Godhead, and was considered to be a created being, IOW, an angel. If, from that perspective, it could be found that Lucifer, was considered to be a leader among the angels (He did lead in the rebellion), I would not challenge someone who considered him to be an archangel. But, it should not be thought that SDAs consider Christ and Lucifer to be equal.1 point -

The nature of the Holy Spirit
JoeMo reacted to Aliensanctuary for a topic
What is Spirit? Spirit is the creative/healing/life sustaining force that permeates the universe. Spirit connects YHVH to the universe, enabling him to instantaneously telepathically read human's thoughts, heal them from great distances, create the fundamental particles of the universe and the atoms and molecules of life. Without Spirit, Jesus Christ couldn't heal even a flea. The Spirit of YHVH will resurrect long-dead humans using their life records and record of their DNA. Essentially, the Spirit will clone the dead so they can face their Creator on Judgment Day. In the future Kingdom of YHVH, he will telepathically communicate via Spirit with humans to tell them what to do and where to go. If they need something and ask, he has already read their minds and knows what to send. Today, we would call that "prayer".1 point -

We should be careful not to lock ourselves into the beliefs of our Adventist Forefathers and Foremothers. They confused the Dark Day, the meteor shower, and the Lisbon earthquake with the Day of YHVH, a day with Black Sun, Red Moon, Falling Stars, and the shaking of the Earth, all occurring when the Sixth Seal is opened and men's hearts fail in fear and call for the rocks to fall on them to hide them from the face of YHVH.1 point -

In my humble opinion... the angels are not flesh, they are ministering spirits. When they appeared as flesh it was not strange flesh. I suspect the strange flesh was animal flesh. They were not merely same sex attracted, they were animalized for one another... they were murderers and rapists without any self control. they were dehumanized. their animal nature had no restraint, the lower nature seems to have had complete ascendency. They were violent and had no regard for life, widows or orphans. the image of God was erased from them completely.1 point -
How Does God Guarantee a Sin-Free Eternity in a Universe Filled With Free-Will Beings?
JoeMo reacted to Aliensanctuary for a topic
Any human with free will cannot be trusted. Any human possessing the Sense of Self will be selfish. Any human without the Laws of YHVH downloaded into their minds will transgress them. Any human without the Sprit if YHVH in them will become a rebel. In the Kingdom, humans will have a function. Their purpose is not to be part of another experiment in free will, but to obey the commands of YHVH and contribute their labor to the common good. Free will/Self will result in endless cycles of rebellion.1 point -
Why the Free Exercise Clause needs to be strengthened

The Free Exercise Clause that guarantees religious freedom is probably much weaker than you realize. While freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and even the establishment clause are subject to higher "strict scrutiny" levels of protection, the free exercise of religion receives the lowest level of protection – the "rational basis test." 5 Shocking Facts You Didn't Know About the OJ Case_2 On June 17, 1994, O.J. Simpson led Los Angeles police on a low-speed chase for about two hours, culminating in his arrest on suspicion of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Here are five shocking facts you might have missed, even if you were glued to your TV set... The Bronco in the Low-Speed Chase Is in a Museum Simpson's Ford Bronco is a powerful symbol of the sensational trial that followed. The Bronco ended up in Tennessee at the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Force for crime fans to see. The vehicle is part of the museum’s getaway cars exhibit. Brown-Simpson’s Children Were in the House At the Time Simpson and his ex-wife, Nicole, had two children together, Justin, age 5, and Sydney, age 8. Both were sleeping in their bedrooms at the time the murders occurred. They were reported as sleeping upstairs in the condo that Simpson had bought for his ex-wife and children at the time of their divorce. Neither of the now grown children of O.J. and Nicole has spoken publicly about what happened. Simpson Had No Alibi A limousine driver arrived at the Simpson home around 40 minutes after the reported commission of the murders to transport Simpson to an airport for a trip. The driver said he saw an adult male wearing dark clothing going up the estate’s driveway. He stated that it was a few minutes before Simpson responded to the gate phone to speak to the driver, and the limo driver said he had previously been calling the house for about 25 minutes with no answer. Evidence Shows That Simpson Might Have Been Thinking About Running Simpson, during his slow-speed chase, was found armed with a handgun, his cell phone, $10,000 in cash and his passport. Also, he had a theatrical beard and goatee along with the adhesive to apply them. The police took those items into evidence on the case. Simpson Lied on the Stand During the trial, Simpson claimed he would never wear Bruno Magli shoes because they were ugly. Footprints indicating Bruni Magli shoes with blood on them were found at the crime scene. However, the prosecution proved that the former NFL player did wear this brand of shoe when they presented the jury the evidence in 30 or more photographs of him wearing them.1 point -

Joe, angels are not flesh they are spirits. Sodom and Gomorrah were burned because they lusted all types of sin which took over their lives. These people knew YAHWEH and they left HIM. They had Melchizidek, THE MOST HIGH King and Priest in (Salem) which was Jerusalem. I will continue to state according to the Bible, the Canaanites were serving YAHWEH first, but they began to serve Baal. Gen 15:16 explains clearly that YAHWEH was giving one tribe 430 years because all the rest of the Canaanites had become paganized! The Amorites were still obeying THE MOST HIGH, that's who Abraham lived around and eventually after Sarah's death married Keturah a spiritual minded Canaanite person! Jethro (The Midianites came through Keturah loins), the Midianite and High Priest was worshiping YAHWEH when Moses ran away from Egypt! They, later on, left the truth too! Now as I read Gen Chapter 24, I feel Abraham wanted a Semitic woman to marry his son. Laban Rebekah's brother knew YAHWEH but gave Jacob later on a hard time. To make it clear, Laban was a crook! I feel Abraham was keeping the prophecy of Noah, that Shem would be blessed through the male line that YAHSHUA would come through! Homosexuality with the people of Sodom and Gomorrah was the final straw! Blessings!1 point -

Joe Moe: I am surprised that you would say that. YAHSHUA in HIS day was despised those who claimed to be righteous, but they were not! The Bible says to love your enemy and those who say all manner of evil against you for great is your reward in Heaven. When I see children placed in cages because their parent was seeking asylum here it makes me shutter! Who has called you a pig or the other things you said in this country? What I have seen those who claim to be Christians feel that they should make others believe the way they do. That is wrong! May your life speak for you! YAHSHUA told Mary to go and sin no more, HE did not condemn her! I hear angriness in your writings and it saddens me. Choose whom you will serve and allow that person that you don't agree with to choose whom they will serve! As long as no one tries to do you bodily harm, then we all must allow them to make a choice. I want my grandchildren to be saved, but they see all the lying and suppose to be spiritual minded members look down their nose on others who might not believe the way they do! This has caused them to turn away from believing in truth period! You know I cannot save me, YAHSHUA saves, I just obey with love and kindness and that's it! I provide what the Bible says but not overwhelm anyone! My son has called me holy the thou because he is not living right! I still love him and continual to find a way to talk to him. Mostly, I just pray for him! I have learned not to dwell on negative things myself and try to see the good in everyone. If I stand for love and kindness regardless of how others act some will change through THE HOLY SPIRIT! But they have to see THE HOLY SPIRIT in me! Blessings My Friend!1 point -

One thing I suggest is to read the bill ourselves. Sometimes people word things to fit their political ideology. So I would like to copy and paste the bill so all can read it for yourselves and then make up your mind. My concern is all people have a right to their sexual orientation. I nor anyone on earth should stand as YAHWEH! Those who claim to obey the Bible should not judge others if so, what about oral sex it is a sin too! Again I will not put transgenders in with homosexuals because I know a person who's should have been a boy but the hormones of the Y chromosomes became dominant when she was born. She was born a female, I saw this with my own eyes in the '60s because she was a faithful SDA! She was about to get married and then she began to look different. Her face looked rough ( She was beautiful and a twin), and she started having a beard. She was acting different and finally, she went into the hospital. They told her that her x chromosomes begin swiftly taken over and she was supposed to be a boy, not a girl. She was shocked, they told her what did she wanted to do? She said she wanted to remain a woman. They told her because she was supposed to a boy and that now the male hormones was trying to correct itself, she could never have children! She still wanted to remain a woman and she did. Her fiance left her but she married a wonderful man and they adopted children. Because of her choice, she had to take hormones and she died early. I also met a person who had both male and female organs and she acted like a woman at times or man at times. She drunk very heavy and she stayed in the hospital a lot, she died as well. Because of sin deformity of all kind happens so I do not question about transgenders being a sin. I am not talking about men or women who have nothing wrong with their bodies and want to change to the opposite male or female. They are to me still homosexuals! I will say this again, that YAHSHUA prophesied that just before HE come this will become rampant as with all sinful acts. I truly believe that many homosexuals, like liars, thieves, drug takers, murders, backbiters, adulterers, oral sex, and all sinners will change and be save. But, again I would like to read the bill to see what it says for myself! Blessings!1 point -

Trevor L asked in the quote below: * Yes, sinners who come to worship with us in peace should be welcomed at our services. They should be allowed to fellowship with our local members. * I am thinking right now of a family in a congregation that I attend that has a homosexual son/daughter. I only wish that the child in that family would attend every Sabbath to fellowship with us. * As to a homosexual holding membership and/or office in a local SDA congregation, that is an issue that is divisive in the SDA Church today. I do not address that issue.1 point -

I disagree; but I'm not saying you're wrong; it's just my current opinion that Islam will be the beast power. Nonetheless, Catholicism and apostate Protestantism will both be key players in end-time events. Many Muslims are currently experiencing dreams and visions of Christ. AFM missionaries in Muslim countries estimate that up to 80% of the Muslims who come to them are directed to their ministry by a vision or dream of Christ. Many of them don't even know who the Guy in the dream is until the missionaries tell them.1 point -

Aliensanctuary reacted to JoeMo for a topic
Sorry - I think the entire 1844 prophecy is wrong. Jesus did NOT enter the Most Holy Place in 1844. Hebrews is clear that He entered it when He ascended into heaven;. "But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here,[a] he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.and that we also can enter it " Heb. 9:11-12) We can also enter the Most Holy Place (hence the curtain between the Holy Place and Most Holy Place being torn in half upon Jesus' death.) "Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water." Sabbath on Earth points us to Sabbath in the Kingdom where we will work six days and rest the seventh. YHVH will not likely need a day to rest because he is not made of flesh and blood, but of energy.0 points -
