    Chelm’s PR Campaign

The famed city of Chelm, where residents are known for not being so bright, wanted to change their reputation. So they convened an academic conference. They invited three professors: an engineer, a physicist and a mathematician for a panel discussion to be moderated by Chaim Yankel, the smartest man in Chelm. Chaim Yankel opened up the session by asking the academics to name the greatest invention of all time. The engineer chose fire, which gave humanity power over matter. The physicist chose the wheel, which gave humanity the power over space. The mathematician chose the alphabet, which gave humanity power over symbols. Chaim Yankel added his two cents and chose the thermos bottle. "Why a thermos bottle?" the others asked. "Because the thermos keeps hot liquids hot in winter and cold liquids cold in summer." "Yes – so what?" "Think about it," said Chaim Yankel stroking his beard. "That little bottle – how does it know?!”

    Ditch ‘Em

Moishe and Miriam Kaplan moved away from the city to a farm as that had always been Miriam’s dream. Moishe was having trouble making ends meet on the farm so he would drive around the backroads seeing if any motorists needed help. Sure enough, one day, after being bogged down in a muddy ditch, a motorist paid Moishe fifty dollars to pull him out with his tractor. After he was back on dry ground, he said to Moishe, "At those prices, I bet you’d want to pull people out of muddy ditches day and night." "I can't," replied Moishe. “Why not?” asked the motorist.” "At night I haul water to the ditch."

    Chelm’s First Actuary

Chaim Yankel a resident of the famed city of Chelm (where they are known for not being so bright) decided that he wanted to be an actuary. He studied very hard and somehow managed to squeak by and pass his licensing exam. At his first job interview the company representative asked him, "Can you tell me what gross aggrandized annuity means?" "Certainly," replied Chaim Yankel. "It means I don't get the job."

    The Egg Will Hatch

Gentlepeople: I have the word and it is sure and certain. From the ashes of its death, the Phoenix will rise again. It will grow and become larger than it has been before. In some ways it will be a bit different than it has been in the past. It will not be the small little bird that it is now, struggling now to live. There will be a new life. It will have a power that it did not have in its former prime. I am limited in what I can share with you. The details will remain, for now vague. But, I say to you: The One Project has been given a new birth and will live again in greater power than in the past.

    Quandary

Yes; and it works both ways. When I disagree with the idealism of some people of color, I am deemed as a racist. When I disagree with the same idealism of a caucasian, I am deemed an idiot. At least the caucasian is responding to my disagreement of the issue. When a person of color calls me a racist because I don't accept his/her worldview, that is a straw man and a conversation killer. To call and old white guy a racist just because I disagree with a person is racist in itself. This is not directed at you Marrian; you are my sister in Christ and I feel a certain bond with you. But I have been called a racist for disagreeing with some of the progressive policies being bantered about; like open borders, free Medicare for all, a $1,000 living stipend for all Americans, reparations to African Americans and Native Americans, free education for all, forgiveness of all student debt, allowing Sharia Law instead on U.S. law in certain predominantly Muslim neighborhoods, government sponsored abortion right up to the point of birth, curtailment of energy production, "green deal", etc. Resistance against socialism, energy infrastructure destruction, and gov't sponsored abortion at the cost of massive tax increases to pay for it all is NOT racism; it's common economic and social sense.
