    Notice to All

We have reached the time in the life of this forum where we often have more un-identified people reading posts here than we have members. A few minutes ago, when I checked, we had 20 such un-identified persons reading posts here and two (2) members. Presently we have a commercial business reviewing the posts in this forum that provides, among other services, "online reputation management." To put it simply, such a service is paid to discover negative statements that have been made on the Internet about a person, a product, or a business. When such a negative statement is identified, this business is paid to take steps to nuteralize the negative statement. Be aware.

Here's your (not so) totally useless fact(s) of the day:

Nostrils take turns receiving the majority of the air you breathe, which explains why one is usually stuffier than the other.

Who warned you to flee ...

The only person that I know of that predicted time to day is Pastor David Gates. I and others have written to him about this false prediction. I know of no other SDA who have made this claim. If you know of others would like to know. No one knows when the Time of Trouble will begin. There are signs that we are very close even at the door and we should get ready! The Bible does give you actual time or length of the Time of Trouble which will be 3 1/2 years, 1 hour or two months that the earth will not have an intercession and the wise will hear the time of YAHSHUA'S coming. These are in Daniel Chapter 12; Rev Chapters 11; 14; 17; 18. Again, I will repeat we do not know when the Time of Trouble will begin and all of these times will take place one after the other. Only when the Time of Trouble begins will the other times start will be known and the righteous will be bless to hear THE FATHER speak the time of HIS SON'S coming is now on the way. Time of Trouble: 1,260 days, 42 months or 31/2 years. No ones knows when this time will begin. Two class will be resurrected those who crucified YAHSHUA and many will awake for everlasting life. They will assist the 144,000. The 144,000 will have power like Moses to bring down the wrath of YAHWEH and to preach and reap the harvest of souls known as the great multitude. Time No Intercession: It will start at the end of the Time of Trouble -1,290 days it will begin and will be 1 hour or 2 months. The beast will come from the bottomless pit, The image to the beast is worshiped and is alive! Armageddon will take place, Babylon is judge which is the whore and Jerusalem will be destroyed for third and final time. YAHSHUA is preparing to come. THE BLESSED TIME: THE FATHER announces HIS SON is on the way, the righteous understand the wicked does not! Those blessed to stand until the 1,335 days are the ones saved. Both the wicked and the righteous will see YAHSHUA coming at the end of this time. This includes no intercession and 15 days before the 15 days begins THE FATHER tells the righteous HE is on the way and the end of those 15 days HE will be seen in the clouds of GLORY! The beast and false prophet is place in the Lake of Fire, birds have their supper, Satan for the first time is cast into prison or the bottomless pit where his angels will return with him and they all will be in prison for a thousand years. All of the above is in the Bible Chapters given. Just a presentation read for yourself! Be Blessed!

Who warned you to flee ...

Another issue that concerns me regarding interpreting prophecy is time setting. While we have had warnings regarding setting times for the Second coming, I tend to believe that all prophecies with a time component have been fulfilled and there are none to be watched for in a timing sense. I found this section from Testimonies, p 307-308: Many who have called themselves Adventists have been time setters. Time after time has been set for Christ to come, but repeated failures have been the result. The definite time of our Lord's coming is declared to be beyond the ken of mortals. ... Because the times repeatedly set have passed, the world is in a more decided state of unbelief than before in regard to the near advent of Christ. They look upon the failures of the time setters with disgust; and because men have been so deceived, they turn from the truth substantiated by the word of God that the end of all things is at hand . Those who so presumptuously preach definite time, in so doing gratify the adversary of souls; for they are advancing infidelity rather than Christianity. They produce Scripture and by false interpretation show a chain of argument which apparently proves their position. But their failures show that they are false prophets, that they do not rightly interpret the language of inspiration. The word of God is truth and verity, but men have perverted its meaning. These errors have brought the truth of God for these last days into disrepute. ... Those who think they must preach definite time in order to make an impression upon the people do not work from the right standpoint. The feelings of the people may be stirred and their fears aroused, but they do not move from principle. An excitement is created; but when the time passes, as it has done repeatedly, those who moved out upon time fall back into coldness, darkness, and sin, and it is almost impossible to arouse their consciences without some great excitement. I would be careful of predicting a time for anything going into the future. Of course, I tend to see understanding prophecy more of a map to where we have been rather than where we are going.

    Trivia

5 Things You Didn't Know About The Panama Canal_2 On August 15, 1914, after years of construction, the Panama Canal was opened to maritime traffic. Here are 5 things you didn’t know about this artificial waterway that sped up travel between the two major oceans... Initial Permissions for the Canal Were Given to a French Company When Colombia, which at that time controlled what is now Panama, decided that building a canal across the Panamanian isthmus was a good idea, it received proposals from a number of companies. The first company to be awarded the right to build the canal was the French builder Ferdinand de Lesseps, who had built the very successful Suez Canal years earlier. de Lesseps' plans did not translate well to Central America, however, and to the terrain across this tiny piece of land. His project hit so many stumbling blocks, including disease that killed many workers, that his company declared bankruptcy and was eventually bought out by an engineer named Philippe-Jean Bunau-Varilla, who had worked on de Lesseps' project. Those Initial French Canal Plans Called for No Locks One of the problems that de Lesseps faced was that he had assumed he could use the same construction methods and plans as he had on the Suez Canal. However, the Suez Canal crossed a relatively flat piece of land and required no locks, which are those compartments that fill with water and elevate a ship over higher terrain in a canal. In Panama, the distance to dig across the isthmus might not have been a lot, but it was rougher, elevated terrain. The amount of land that de Lesseps would have had to dig out was astounding and, ultimately, impossible. The U.S. Almost Built a Canal in Nicaragua Philippe-Jean Bunau-Varilla wanted the U.S. to buy assets of the canal but hit a bizarre block: The U.S. wanted a canal in Nicaragua instead. Bunau-Varilla managed to convince the U.S. government that Panama was a better choice because Nicaragua had too many volcanoes near the proposed canal route. The Rush to Put the Canal in American Hands Led to Panama's Independence From Colombia The U.S. wanted control of the canal zone even though a French company was working on the actual construction. While the U.S. and Bunau-Varilla might have been in agreement over this, Colombia was not, and it prevented the agreement that would have let the U.S. handle canal construction in Panama. Obviously, the U.S. didn't like that, so it decided to back rebels who eventually got Panama to break away from Colombia. After Panama became independent, its provisional government allowed the U.S. to take over canal construction. Fun fact: The Panamanian representative was, of all people, Bunau-Varilla. The Canal Had to Be Expanded in the Late 2000s -- and It May Still Be Too Small for Some Newer Ships The Panama Canal is considered a modern marvel, but its age is definitely showing. In the century-plus since the canal's construction, ships have increased in size by a tremendous amount. In 2007, work began on the canal to widen it so it could accommodate ships known as post-Panamax ships. Panamax refers to a class of ship that was built specifically to fit in the canal, and the canal now needs to fit larger and larger vessels. The new construction should allow it to let through ships that are nearly three times the size of Panamax ships, but it still won't be big enough to allow the world's largest ships, such as the Triple E container ships from Maersk.
