Still Looking for the Line ...

hohoho. Spare me the idea that SDAs are morally pure. So you perhaps endorse the idea of doing moral exposés on the past life and behavior of any non-SDA with whom the church might do business? Really? I guess the church needs another level of hierarchy: Office of Moral Exposé and Comstockery. It could also be used to keep the riff-raff out of joining the morally pure Adventist church.... Nothing like keeping busy pointing out the sins of others.... the spreading of the gospel can be tossed in a mud puddle and ignored, whilst the more important job of keeping "unsavory" people away from poisoning the waters of Adventism is paramount. Said God never. (It's actually a spectacular tool that Satan gives freely — it works great, it makes the accusers feel "good", and it keeps the focus away from Christ.)

If only we had perfect people to sing, preach, act, etc. God knows that unless one is perfect one is not worthy to participate in such productions.

Through our trials and defects, God is leading us to trust in Him. Some of us (me included/especially) would do well to have the faith of that blind man.

    Climate Change: Is It Real?

This whole issue is getting close to a tipping point, to be sure. Huge power-grabs are in the works. Even bigger efforts are being made to censor/or worse, anyone who question the radicalized climate agenda. A new web site that will help to give a more focused, and accurate picture of CO2 and the alarmist mentations of the nations: Why can’t we ask questions? I am happy to see people rising up to speak truth to power: CO² is NOT a Pollutant Despite Claims to the Contrary

Wasn't really what the thread was about. It was just a one sentence mention of another incident that came to mind showing that the current situation wasn't an isolated event.

If a member of the church were openly engaged in the production of pornography they would likely be disfellowshipped. But then, maybe not. The line of unacceptable behavior is getting hard to find anymore. Then we don't want to judge a non-church member who actually does act in lesbian and pornographic films (in nearly the same time frame as this film, we are not talking about something remote) and we are so loving that, "hey! ... let's let her play the part of Sister White!" IF ... she had in the past done such and was now repentant, it would be a very different story. There is much in SOP regarding church discipline. But maybe you don't like EGW. Unfortunately, there is also things relative to church discipline in the Bible. Maybe we can just cut that out while we are at it. I still believe that the people responsible for this in the church should have been more careful with what they are doing with church funds, i.e., the money that many members contribute to the church. Many people sacrifice and do without so some can squander their funds.

A copy of what she wrote is on my computer. Free download from amazon. In the book: A number of words were used that I suspect you would not appreciate seeing written here in this forum. A central theme of the story was a claim by one of the characters that a road accident had happened because they were in the midst of oral sex when the accident happened. One character in this story wishes that another character would go to prison where they would pass him around. (This is one of the more hideous character qualities of many "good" people. The wish to send someone to jail where they hopefully will be repeatedly raped by the other inmates. You hear this one all the time. Never mind that jailhouse rape is a real and far bigger problem than heterosexual rape in "free" society.)

If people who play "good" roles in religious movies have to have a lifetime of purity and goodness, no religious movies would ever have been made. For sure, no one would be worthy to play Jesus.

If the church is producing the movie and spending tithe monies to do so, yes, the male actors should also be vetted for current issues of morality. And the church should not have given such control over the some production company to do as they pleased. No matter how accomplished she may be, she was also involved in starring in films of lesbianism and pornography almost at the same time she was portraying Sister White. I tend to not be impressed with going along with the idea of using such films because we think God can use it. Similarly, Adventist pastors should not be producing erotica as a means to teach things to young people. What Andrew Garfield may or may not do is not really relevant. The church did not that I am aware of fund or produce the movie Hacksaw Ridge. The Doss family had some control of it. I have not heard of tithe money being used to produce Garfield's movie. How nice an entertainer may be is also irrelevant! Many people seducing people into wrong things are very nice about it. "Judgemental insinuations"? "hypocritical handwringing"? That is funny.

    Two Second Comings?

The blind man did not have to commit iniquity, neither did his parents. Sometime it is because of sin, just like what happen to Job for a test of faith! Because of his faith, he was heal. However, those children who died in Sodom died because of their parents. We are not talking about the grown children. When Lot tried to talk to his grown children they refuse to obey! But we are talking about children they died with their parents and children will die again with their parents. That's what the Bible is stating that the parents are responsible for their children until they become or age to make their own decision. Some have at the age of 9, 10,11, and 12 in various countries! It is what the child knows and understand! Some do not understand at the age below 12 and some show it by their behavior as well. THE FATHER knows it all and it is HIS decision and I personally do not second guess HIM! Blessings!

    History/Sociology Of Canadian Religion

I wouldnt be surprised if some people were hoping I would forget about this topic. It may surprise them that I was hoping so too...I have been in research mode; but some parts are not pretty, and the more I research, the more it seems like something that should be shared...the story needs to get out. For this post, we will be looking at a horror story from the past, that is actually, also, our future: Storys About "MAC" AND "KAP" (there will be 2 or 3 stories about MAC & KAP) Its my understanding that in the early days when The United States of America was first being formed that the courts of the land had declared that The USA was a "Christian Nation." And from there, the US Constitution was formed and ratified. But ever since, the largest single engagement in a war of the creeds which for years has gone on in the United States, has ever been the bane of "true religion," inciting, literally, one fight after the next. It doesn't appear that anyone was really contesting that the US was a Christian nation; it seems more related to what kind of Christian nation it was, or should be. The legacy of all of the corporate evangelism industry is nothing to be proud of, and yet, the denominational combat is gibbering all the way to the midnight hour of Bible prophecy. I recently read an interesting document that might help us to asservate the true nature of the battle. BIG Church cannot seem to practice what it preaches, and historically has proven, time and again, that there will be no end to the conflict, until someone is The Boss. The document I am referring to is actually a 345 pg book called: The Wars Of The Ungodly by REUBEN MAURY NEW YORK by ROBERT M. McBRIDE & COMPANY 1928 It starts out with an ancient-looking illustration of IRISH PROTESTANTS VS. IRISH CATHOLICS, purportedly in ELM PARK, NEW YORK CITY, JULY 12, 1870. From this illustration one might guess the nature of this conflict but the details in the book are excruciating, to say the least. The author sets us down to a place in the early 1920s where a local paper boy is calling our from a street corner, trying to sell his newspapers to passers by: The narrative of this tale had captured me and made me feel as though I was back in time with Scrooge and the like; except, it was in America, of course. The author explained some disturbing facts about something this paper boy was saying; and Ill just quote the text to illustrate: I decided to make this post separate from the rest of this amazing story, which actually isn't as "dated" as some might like to think. In the next post, (hopefully on the week end) we will look at how this aforementioned "denominational combat" has made it's way into Canada, and affected The Canadian Church at large. Now, can you guess what "K.A.P." is? Please dont make assumptions about where this story line is going. I can guarantee that it isn't what most may be expecting. Until next time...(this week end).

    Question

not unless he consistently wears his metallic snood to work, to school, to go shopping, or to do any and all other public activities... (and even if he did, CFSF isn't seen as a valid religion in the US) no. It's a behavioral satire against religion.

Probably not such a hot idea to throw stones at someone who was chosen to play a character in movie. It's the movie people will remember — not the personal lives of the actors and actresses therein. (I'm sure "weird" stuff could be found about Andrew Garfield, who played the lead in the Desmond Doss movie.) What actually strikes me as being very peculiar after watching the "Tell It to the World" movie trailer is that actress Tommie-Amber Pirie (who I've never heard of previously) looks like she's about 14 years old, and has a "little girly" voice — neither of which apparently change much throughout the EGW part in the movie. At any rate, what is the Adventist church supposed to do when creating a documentary or movie or any other sort of production that involves using non-SDA people? Shall we create a morality history questionnaire that people must pass before they're allowed to associate with the "pure" SDA population? That non-SDA actors/actresses, directors and producers must have "clean hands" according to some SDA policy before becoming involved in any way with the Adventist Church? I have non-SDA entertainer relatives. They aren't "bad" people at all. In fact, they are some of the most caring, genuinely nice people that one would like to have as relatives. Stop with the judgmental insinuations and hypocritical hand-wringing. It's unbecoming.

    Two Second Comings?

SDAs have no explanation of what God our Father will do with His beloved little children, who happen to have wicked parents - except to quote EW. Mrs White seemed to describe it both ways. She was describing the resurrection of a little one, and wrote "we listen in vain for the rapturous cry of the mother". Would that not imply the mother was missing because she was lost, and the "little one" was still made immortal? On the other hand she wrote things that implied the small children (who died as small children) of lost parents could not "go to heaven". And of course, there was the statement about the "ignorant slave" being left "as if he had not been" - "like the beasts". There was a fellow on this forum, who told us that "God can have a relationship with a four celled embryo", and that God saves babies and children on the basis of what they will become in the kingdom. Sorry. I don't buy any of it.

Porn/Lesbian Actress Played the Role of Ellen G. White in the Seventh-day Adventist Film ‘Tell the World’ “Tell the World” is the first ever historical movie that documents the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church spent $5.5 million dollars on 97 professional actors and over 1,000 extras to produce this film. At the center of the movie is the story of Ellen G. White – prophet and co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Actress Tommie-Amber Pirie was hired to play the role of Mrs. White. Tommie-Amber Pirie is also an established actor, writer and director of porn, lesbian and gay movies. While Tommie-Amber Pirie was recreating the role of Ellen White in the filming of the “2016 Tell the World” movie she as also filming a “2016 Below Her Mouth” lesbian movie, a “2015-2016 Bitten” occult movie, and she had just finished filming a “2015 I Don’t Love You Like That” gay movie and a “2015 How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town” porn movie. This is a mockery to God and a disgrace to Ellen White. It is a joke that the church would use artists who embrace the Hollywood sex culture and the occult to portray the life of Sister White. Seventh-day Adventists paid a lot of money to someone who is part of Hollywood’s free-love, lesbian, orgy scene and hired her to portray the faithful, self-sacrificing life of a godly woman. #sda #adventist #adventista Please click the following link to see all the photos, the evidence and to read the full story: http://adventmessenger.org/porn-lesbian-actress-played-the-role-of-ellen-g-white-in-the-seventh-day-adventist-film-tell-the-world/
