    Who's fooling who?

On 2/15/2020 at 6:26 PM, B/W Photodude said: I am more concerned regarding the usual influenza virus that go around every year killing on average 19,000 in just the US ... A little housekeeping here: HCH: When quoting someone, it is good to stick to the topic of what you quoted! What you wrote had NOTHING to do with concerns regarding the flu! A correction: The flu death average in the US is 10,000 per year. 19,000 was a typo. Coronavirus update: How Bad Is the Coronavirus Outbreak Becoming? The short answer is, in terms of deaths at least, the current coronavirus outbreak is not as bad as it was initially predicted. https://www.technologynetworks.com/immunology/articles/how-bad-is-the-coronavirus-outbreak-becoming-330774 Interesting: We have a prototype device tested to try and detect MERS coronavirus infection, but it’s still experimental. We are currently working on proposals to adopt this as fast as possible for use with the current coronavirus outbreak, 2019-nCoV, and SARS” concluded Dr Edwards. Who's fooling who?

What is clear is that HCH is not presenting a Biblical teaching. His message is more from his reading of the newspaper than from the Bible. However I will grsnt that he has a vivid imagination that exceeds that those of us reading his posts. He might actually do well as a novelist if he were to chose to write such.

Not sure I understand your asking about "globalization?" Globalization has been with us for a number of years now and is not going to go away!! And just because some don't want to believe in some of the things that are happening all around us doesn't mean are are not true!! Everything that happens some will go over board with and others will take lightly, there seems to be no middle ground. Each entity has an agenda!! Like the Pope latching on to "global warming" and other things to bring about his "Sunday Laws," etc.!! I for one don't let that bather me, if it happens it happens!! Christ tells us to keep our eyes on him, we know that this world is coming to its final days and all craziness will be braking out everywhere. God's angels are still holding that back, but each day or so it seems like it will be anytime, if we are not prepared shame on us!! Anyway talking about the virus, wasn't just a few weeks ago where they said no problem this is not going to go anywhere?? Well obviously it has, and its spread pretty far and wide?? They probably will control this eventually like pretty much all the others that have come, but are not gone, just lurking around!!

    Microsoft OS Update Errors

The problems that this causes are major. I have spent hours attempting to fix my two (2) computers that had this update. Finally I had to call on my son who is a former Microsoft Intern and presently a software engineer to work on my computers. Presently, my desk top seems to be fixed, and my laptop is at a place where I can use it, but I will likely work on it more tomorrow. In any case, Microsoft has recalled that software, it was so bad. Trivia Quiz?

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About King Tut_2 On February 16, 1923, archaeologist Howard Carter entered the sealed burial chamber of the ancient Egyptian ruler King Tutankhamen. Here are five things you probably didn't know about that tomb and King Tutankhamun. Tutankhamun Was Buried in The World’s Most Expensive Coffin Two of Tutankhamun’s three coffins were made of wood, covered with gold sheet. But, to Howard Carter’s great surprise, the innermost coffin was made from thick sheets of beaten gold. This coffin measures 1.88m in length, and weighs 110.4kg. If it were to be scrapped today it would be worth approximately $1.7 million. But as Tutankhamun’s final resting place it is, of course, priceless. He Became a Pharaoh at The Age of Nine Tutankhamun is one of the youngest known pharaohs of all time and descended to power at the age of 9 after his father’s death. He was married to his half-sister, Ankhesenamun, which was a common practice among Egyptian royals. Although they had two children together, neither child lived, and they were both interred in the same tomb with their father. His Original Name Was Not Tutankhamun Tutankhamun was originally named Tutankhaten. This name, which literally means “living image of the Aten”, reflected the fact that Tutankhaten’s parents worshipped a sun god known as “the Aten”. After a few years on the throne the young king changed his religion, abandoned the Aten, and started to worship the god Amun [who was revered as king of the gods]. This caused him to change his name to Tutankhamun, or “living image of Amun”. King Tut’s Death Was Probably Accidental For years, it was speculated that King Tut’s death at age 19 came courtesy of a blow to the head, inflicted, perhaps, by a murderous rival. More recently, however, experts have determined that the damage to his mummy’s skull occurred after death, either during the embalming process or at the hands of Carter’s crew. So how did the boy king die? In 2005 a study revealed that he broke his leg and developed an infection in the wound shortly before death. According to one theory, the pharaoh sustained the injury by falling from his chariot during a hunt. Meanwhile, DNA testing in 2010 suggested that Tutankhamen had malaria. Alternate theories about King Tut’s demise still abound, however, including the hypothesis that he succumbed to the lethal bite of an enraged hippopotamus. His Heart Was Missing The ancient Egyptians believed that it was possible to live again after death, but thought that this could only be achieved if the body was preserved in a lifelike condition. This led them to develop the science of artificial mummification. According to ancient Egyptians, the organ for reasoning was the heart and not the brain, and therefore, it was still essential for afterlife. Typically, the heart would be preserved, but in the case of Tut, the heart was missing in his mummy. It has been theorized that possibly Tut died when he was far away from home so that by the time they got his body for embalming the heart had already deteriorated so much that it could not be preserved and they had to get rid of it.

    Who's fooling who?

I tend to think that there is too much panic regarding this disease, not that health organizations shouldn't be monitoring it and doing what they are doing. However, we have been thru many of these threats that never really went much of anywhere including the swine flue of the seventies, SARs, MERs, Ebola, and now - Coronavirus. And don't forget the strains of gonnorhea that are resistant to all antibiotics. You have MRSA, VRE, and emerging is VRSA. I am more concerned regarding the usual influenza virus that go around every year killing on average 19,000 in just the US. Annually every year, specialists confer and pick the strain predicted to be coming in the following year and flu vaccines are made. If they guess wrong on the type of flu vaccine, which happens, the deaths can increase to 36,000 in one flu season as it did a couple of years ago. I am aware that in the end times pestilences will occur. While one needs to be cautious regarding diseases, I am not really at the point of becoming panicked or even changing any lifestyle practices as yet. I guess the thing to do is go on with your life while being aware of what is going on. I am aware that in the end times pestilences will occur.
