    Who's fooling who?

I wonder: Will HCH count the teeth in the beast, and who will he say each tooth represents? Will he tell us that the beast has 50 teeth and each tooth represents a Governor of a US State? Perhaps he will relate each tooth to a SDA leader. Or, maybe the teeth could represent people here in this forum--Stan could be the wisdom tooth. Which tooth would I be? On a more serious note; When you begin to understand the Bible by reading the newspaper, there is no end to where you could go. You have no boundaries.

    Who's fooling who?

One of the sad things of having worked in Neuroscience units thru my career in nursing was the folks who came in for surgery to remove glioblastomas in the brain. For those who may not know, glioblastomas are the most deadly form of brain cancers and to live a year after diagnosis is rare. I can only think of one patient ever who made it past a year. When I say remove the tumor, this is only a debulking to give people a bit more time. Now we have this disease thought to come from bats over in Africa which is highly contagious and more deadly than coronavirus. Even though there were fears like now, not much came of it. It is still a problem in Africa. Now they are finding way to use one of these enemies against the other. Snippets of ebola is being used to kill glioblastoma. Understandably, this is still in the mice model, but with promise. https://yaledailynews.com/blog/2020/02/25/researchers-use-ebola-to-fight-brain-tumors/

Like I said, you should have studied a bit more science. I have had the above clipping regarding viruses and colds for more than twenty years. I keep it as a sort of bookmark. It is a bit rude to refer to grown men as boys in that fashion. You would be ballistic if Obama was called a "boy". You are the one who goes on rampages. Truth is not unkind. God does not send diseases. You should also study your Bible more You may need to look in the mirror.

I can tell you one thing, never eat fish that's been farmed raised! They are fed dead fish! Have you ever watched the show called "Cooking with Paula and Curtis," on 3ABN. I believe that's the correct name of the show, if not I'll fix this post!! He went and visited a number of farms where they raise the fish, pretty disgusting!! I'm not sure how they can label the product "kosher," that's far from being kosher!! My father, if he were still alive would puke!!

And you believe that lie! Wow! What you need to do is to pray because your boy in the Whitehouse got rid of the department of doctors who deal with diseases. I know you will go on a rampage. But, you brought up the virus. There is a person in California who has it and she was not in contact with anyone from overseas! It is here and the stockmarket is falling rapidly. Sin is the problem, YAHWEH send the diseases, HE SAID it and you and others can make unkind statements but it will not matter. Buckle up everyone because we are on a quick eye opener. People need to stop playing around with sin and time is running out! Stand back and see YAHWEH move on the affairs of those who has rejected HIS WORD! Peace!

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Mardi Gras On February 27, 1827, a group of masked and costumed students danced through the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana, marking the beginning of the city’s famous Mardi Gras celebrations. Here are 5 things you probably didn’t know about Mardi Gras... Alabama Held the First Mardi Gras Celebration Contrary to popular belief, the festival didn’t actually begin in New Orleans, but rather in present-day Mobile, Alabama. The first Mardi Gras occurred when French explorer brothers Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville and Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville were camped on the Gulf Coast in 1699. Realizing it was Mardi Gras, March 2, they named the spot Point du Mardi Gras. Bienville became the founder of New Orleans and Mobile—where the first American Mardi Gras celebration is said to have been established in 1703. To this day, Mobile puts on a huge festival for Mardi Gras. The Date of Mardi Gras Changes Every Year Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans originated during the French colonial rule of Louisiana, and its roots are tied to the traditions of the Catholic Church. Celebrated on the last day of Carnival season, Mardi Gras signals an end of indulgence and beginning of observed austerity during Lent, which begins the following day on Ash Wednesday. Fat Tuesday comes 47 days before Easter, the date of which changes every year, too. Mardi Gras Colors are Purple, Gold and Green Mardi Gras is associated with beads, of course, and every year, crowds line up on Bourbon Street in order to try and get themselves some beaded necklaces. What you might not have known, though, is that the purple, green and gold beads represent justice, faith and power, respectively. And in keeping with the celebratory and generous spirit of Mardi Gras, a person is allowed to pick up as many beads as their neck can hold Mardi Gras Is a Legal Holiday Despite the preponderance of what might “seem” like illegal activity, Mardi Gras is a legal holiday in Louisiana, and has been since 1875, when Governor Warmoth signed the “Mardi Gras Act.” Floats and Marching Bands Were Added to Mardi Gras Around 1857 In 1856, the first floats and marching bands appeared in Louisiana, around 60 miles from New Orleans. The floats were built by the Mistick Krewe of Comus. There are many more krewes now and they are a popular part of Mardi Gras festivities. Other customs of the celebration include tossing strings of beads, elaborate costumes and masks and, of course, eating King cake, which has a small plastic baby inside. The person who gets the baby in their slice of cake is expected to throw the next party.

An "Outrage" Mob Begins at AU and Reaches the Internet

A cyber mob is when a group gathers online to try to collectively shame, harass, threaten, or discredit a target. “Outrage mobs” or “shaming mobs” are a distinct kind of cyber mob made up of internet users who collectively troll individuals in the hopes of silencing or publicly punishing them. Two weeks ago, an outrage-mob attack occurred on Twitter, with the goal of discrediting Dr. John Markovic, a professor at Andrews University. http://www.fulcrum7.com/news/2020/2/12/outrage-mob-targets-andrews-university-professor-on-twitter An update to this activity shows some pretty horrific commentary regarding this professer. The article noted that what the student did was a violation of the Code of Student Conduct. 14. Verbal, written, physical and other forms of inappropriate, disrespectful, intimidating, harassing, bullying (degrading, humiliating, malicious or defamatory) or lurking (expressing and/or maintaining steady romantic interest that is unwelcomed and/or unrequited) behaviors which compromise the dignity, well-being, health or safety of any person; includes, but is not limited to, phone calls, emails, texts and all forms of online or social network communications. The students "handle" in internet postings is "Hater of Happiness"! http://www.fulcrum7.com/news/2020/2/21/update-on-the-andrews-university-twitter-mob-saga Of interest, John Markovic presented a very informative lecture on the dangers of the Emerging Church at GYC 2013 in Orlando. He funded most of his own research into the emergent movement, and spiritual formation. Here is a video of Professor Markovic discussing emergent church. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6U-HFztQkE https://projectextinguish.com/john-markovic-on-emergent-church/ I find it interesting that this professor who has been targeted also happens to be attempting to educate people on emergent truth. You have to wonder who really is behind all of this. While different in nature from BLM, the rage is all there. https://adventistan.com/forums/topic/77290-a-critical-look-at-black-lives-matter/

I knew Elder Cottrell the last few years of his life, out in Loma Linda. He was a frequent speaker and very faithful to the church. While he said that he liked to give the benefit of the doubt towards the Investigative Judgement, he was sympathetic towards Desmond Ford. While I was not too sympathetic towards Ford and had a stronger acceptance of the Investigative Judgement and he was more forensic than I am, we were in agreement with concerns over the growth of fundamentalism in the church, concerns about the Adventist Theological Society, and of course I admire that he wrote that most important chapter in the SDABC "The Role of Israel in Old Testament Prophecy". (In our discussions on Ford I was able to turn to some of his writings against his support.)

I would say that if you are going to eat meat, only eat kosher meat. For several reasons, I think it would be more healthy if you are going to eat it. It actually has a much better taste to it, along with being slaughtered in a biblically prescribed manner. For those interested in the slaughter business in the US, read the book "Animals in Translation" by Temple Grandin. It is a fascinating book in the way animals think and in ways to slaughter animals more humanely. Her theories have revolutionized the slaughter business with more than half of the slaughter houses following her recommendations to prevent animal panic as they proceed to the slaughter.

nothing with eyes or a Mother, eh? I have similar experiences, drifting in and out of vegan or lacto-ovo diets. I am very close to vegan now. In years past I had a job driving semi-trucks and had to make "deliveries" to a large meat-packing plant in Alberta. I also had experience helping a journeyman welder at the same plant, and I could tell some chilling tales of what goes on in those places. I wish I could un-see all that.

This is a serious problem throughout the church. My kids would say the same; and yes, I think it best to with hold the reasons. Its a nasty mess and likely always will be.

I think if I had to do it all over again with my kids, I would have home schooled them. One of my kids has flatly informed me that the door of an Adventist church would never be darkened by them related to the way they were treated in church school. I feel fortunate, mostly(!),that I went to church schools, but I guess it is not always a pleasant experience for everyone. I will withhold the reasons for my kids feeling regarding church school, but I can understand their feelings.

    When Did It Become Acceptable?

I have thru my life been a vegetarian three times divided by two periods of eating meat. I never tasted meat that I remember before the age of 17 when I was tricked into eating a beef taco. I had just arrived in So Cal and never having seen a taco before, it was apparently easy for my brother to trick me! So, it was the start of eating meat for the first time. I was raised a vegetarian because that is what you did if you were a Seventh-day Adventist, at least it was in my family. You could say it was for religious reasons. I eventually gave up meat for health reasons seeing the long term effects of a meat diet. However, eventually I went back to it when in a time when it was difficult to eat well as a vegetarian. Finally, I forever gave up meat when I more became affected by the cruelty to animals displayed by eating them. So, this time it became an ethical issue. I recall EGW writing in Ministry of Healing regarding animals that trust us and we slay them for appetite. A coworker one time was teasing me once about putting silly hats on my dog and taking pictures of them. She said, "That doesn't contribute much to their dignity." I replied, "I contributed to the dignity of animals when I stopped eating them!" Being a vegetarian for reasons of not hurting animals has become the strongest motivation for not eating flesh foods and I have not eaten meat in more than 30 years and have been vegetarian more than 3/4 of my life. I have no issues for those who are forced by circumstances to eat meat. People are more important than animals. Not all parts of the world have the advantage of being able to eat solely a plant based diet. However, when a person is able to do so, the eating of animals then becomes little more than killing animals to satisfy appetite. I would consider non-essential eating of animals a sixth commandment violation. No one will eat meat in heaven and there, animals will be able to trust those humans they come in contact with, even if they do not know them.

Well, Satan was/is a very good "Bible scholar" too. He seemingly can quote it better than most of us. I dont mean to judge Cottrell; but we corresponded a bit years ago and it ended up a sour experience. Seems whenever someone has "Doctor" attached to their name we just go for whatever they say because of their "qualifications." He actually did write some good stuff, Im just stating my opinion on the over-all picture I got. I have something that he wrote which I find quite good. Ill try to find it and post a little more on that.

    Trivia

5 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Samuel Colt On February 25, 1836, American inventor Samuel Colt patented his revolver. Many historians have said that the Colt firearm altered the course of history. Here are 5 things you probably didn't know about the gun manufacturer and industrialist... A Sea Voyage Inspired the Design for the Colt Revolver In 1830, when Samuel Colt was a teenager who had been expelled from school, he took a sea voyage on a ship going to London and Calcutta, India. While onboard the ship, he became obsessed with the ship’s wheel, which he noted could be spun or locked into one position. Reportedly, this observation sparked his idea for a revolving chamber capable of holding six bullets that could lock into place. He later used this technique to create a prototype revolver gun that used a cylindrical design and could fire multiple bullets without the need to be reloaded. The Company Grew Because of the Mexican-American War Colt found himself strapped for money after his initial gun factory failed, but interest in his revolver, which held five shots, grew once again as the Mexican-American War raged in the mid to late 1840s. American soldiers and groups such as the Texas Rangers found the weapon useful, and this increased its popularity. Captain Samuel Walker, a famed Texas Ranger who fought in the war with Mexico, collaborated with the inventor. The result of this collaboration was the Walker .44, and this gun made Colt’s name synonymous with weapons of war. Colt Used Assembly Lines Before Henry Ford Did In 1913, Henry Ford began using assembly lines in his factory, but Colt used them even earlier. His revolvers were mass-produced and his facility in Hartford turned out 150 guns a day. The venture was successful because the guns were constructed using interchangeable parts, which made the finished product more easily available and affordable. Colt Was Creative at Advertising His Weapons to Increase Sales Samuel Colt realized that he would sell more guns if people knew about them, so he made every attempt to keep them in the public eye. Most people don’t realize that the famous western artist George Catlin was commissioned by Colt to include his guns in paintings, and they appear in many of them. In addition, Colt hired people to write stories and features that included his revolvers, in an early type of what's known today as "content marketing." He Never Held a Colt .45 in His Hand He never held a Colt .45 in his hand. The Colt Single Action Army handgun, better known as the Colt .45, was not released until a decade after Colt’s death in 1862. Dubbed the “Peacemaker” and “the gun that won the West,” the Colt .45 served as the standard service revolver of the U.S. military between 1873 and 1892.

Another person accusing others of twisting Scripture. However, much of your prophecies are of private interpretation and a twisting of Scripture. Seriously?! You are going to make Michael Pence a major player in Bible prophecy? How little people understand the stock market. There are people who make bundles of money when it goes up and when it goes down. I tend to see corrections as we are now seeing as just another way for some to pull the wealth out of the market into their own pockets. It will be back up. We are not to the day yet when people will throw their "gold" into the streets. (That day has come to Venezuala) So, what is the difference between the out poring of the Holy Spirit and the latter rain? More confusion. the 7 last plagues to be poured out on the wicked cannot occur until the IJ is over. Those two events are probably one and the same, but where does it say in Scripture, not in your head, that Jesus stands to begin the seven last plagues. Now we can bring this virus topic and HCHs strange prophecy together! Many of the end times events such as the current coronavirus pestilence is not a last plague but God releasing the devil to do his work in the world. And the devil will even sometimes provide his own solutions. However, not saying the following is a devil's solutions, but more like the blessings of God that are still coming to the earth thru His people the Jews: ISRAEL, a blessing to the nations! Amazing how this tiny state is able to produce a cure quicker than all the superpowers in the world! Pray the clinical trials are quick and successful!
