Ellen White clearly taught that Jesus is Jehovah, the great I AM of the burning bush with Moses and who led the Children of Isreal and revealed Himself when He came as the Christ. The name of God, given to Moses to express the idea of the eternal presence, had been claimed as His own by this Galilean Rabbi. He had announced Himself to be the self-existent One, He who had been promised to Israel, “whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.” Micah 5:2, margin. Again the priests and rabbis cried out against Jesus as a blasphemer. His claim to be one with God had before stirred them to take His life, and a few months later they plainly declared, “For a good work we stone Thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that Thou, being a man, makest Thyself God.” John 10:33. Because He was, and avowed Himself to be, the Son of God, they were bent on destroying Him. Now many of the people, siding with the priests and rabbis, took up stones to cast at Him. “But Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.” (Desire of Ages, 470.1) Ellen White clearly showed who Jesus was, as seen in more of her writings: Ellen G. White wrote:The Pre-existent, Self-existent Son of God.--Christ is the pre-existent, self-existent Son of God.... In speaking of his pre-existence, Christ carries the mind back through dateless ages. He assures us that there never was a time when He was not in close fellowship with the eternal God. He to whose voice the Jews were then listening had been with God as one brought up with Him.--Signs of the Times, Aug. 29, 1900. He was equal with God, infinite and omnipotent.... He is the eternal, self-existent Son.--Manuscript 101, 1897. From Everlasting.--While God's Word speaks of the humanity of Christ when upon this earth, it also speaks decidedly regarding His pre-existence. The Word existed as a divine being, even as the eternal Son of God, in union and oneness with His Father. From everlasting He was the Mediator of the covenant, the one in whom all nations of the earth, both Jews and Gentiles, if they accepted Him, were to be blessed. "The Word was with God, and the Word was God." Before men or angels were created, the Word was with God, and was God.--Review and Herald, April 5, 1906. Christ shows them that, although they might reckon His life to be less than fifty years, yet His divine life could not be reckoned by human computation. The existence of Christ before His incarnation is not measured by figures.--Signs of the Times, May 3, 1899. Jesus declared, "I am the resurrection, and the life." September 22, 2025 My wife reported to me that the Internet is reporting that the Rapture will occur in the next 24 hours from sundown tonight. I have verified that such is on the Internet. Stay tuned. As I do not expect to be raptured, I will report on this topic over the next 48 hours.

It isn't all that uncommon, but usually it is not a nationally recognized figure so it does not capture the attention. There is a family on youtube with a christian podcast that has just recently announded they have discovered the 7th day sabbath. I have Lutheran friends that reject the idea of going to heaven or? when you die. They believe as we do on that topic. My husband's family is Catholic and the younger generation has left for the Lutheran church but reject infant baptism and requested child dedication instead,which was granted
