Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted June 8, 2025 Moderators Posted June 8, 2025 SDA Baptisms are normally public. They are not required to be public. it is the call of the pastor doing the baptism. The SDA Church accepts baptism by immersion, performed by clergy of other Christian faiths. Such people are not required to be re-baptized in order to join the SDA Church. Sometimes such people will request to be re-baptized, when such happens, they will often be re-baptized. But, it is not required. Page 50 of my Church Manual (Revised 2000) contains two sentences related to baptism. Neither requires re-baptism of converts from other Christian groups. Again, yes, we do uphold baptism by immersion for all. Rahab and phkrause 1 1 Quote Gregory
