bonnie Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Dr. Ben Carson Schools Jesse Jackson: ‘Worn-Out Policies of the Do-Gooders Haven’t Helped the Black Community’ August 25, 2014 By Matthew Burke Ben.Carson.Jesse.Jackson Appearing on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Dr. Ben Carson, a best-selling author and winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, debated Jesse Jackson, a long-time leader in the profitable race grievance industry, about the racially-charged mayhem occurring in Ferguson, Missouri. Wallace played a clip of Reverend Jackson, who provided spiritual counseling to fellow Democrat Bill Clinton after his famous affair with Monica Lewinsky, and is the father of an illegitimate child due to an extramarital affair. In the clip, Jackson claimed that the death of alleged thief Michael Brown was a “state execution.” Wallace asked Jackson how he could call the shooting of Brown as a “state execution” when he really had no idea what occurred. Multi-millionaire Jackson answered by attempting to tie the incident to Rodney King and Trayvon Martin, which he also provided his personally profitable professional race-hustling services to. “What we do know is that he was shot unarmed, six times,” Jackson argued, deceptively ignoring numerous reports that the 6’4,” 290 pound Brown charged the police officer and attempted to wrestle his gun away from him, and brutally punched the officer in the face several times. Wallace asked Jackson, the father of criminal son and former progressive Chicago Democrat Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., “If we don’t know, why are we declaring a verdict?” “Police acted as judge, jury and executioner,” Jackson replied. “I’m not so sure this is a police versus black community issue,” Dr. Ben Carson commented, while openly revealing his personal anger problems he had as a youth, and credited God for helping him overcome them. Carson said he’s seen many more occurences where police “saved the situation.” “As a youngster, I had anger problems also. But, for the grace of God, I wouldn’t be talking to to you today. I tried to stab another youngster,” the famous pediatric neurosurgeon disclosed. “Anger issues get in the way,” Dr. Carson asserted. Dr. Carson told Wallace about the bigger picture in regards to the Ferguson issue: “If you take race out of the issue altogether, and you take a group of young men, and you raise them with no respect for authority, not learning to take on personal responsibility, having easy access to drugs and alcohol, they’re very likely to end up as victims of violence and incarceration. It has nothing to do with race.” Dr. Carson articulated that personal responsibilty for one’s actions is what is missing from society. While conceding that some racism still exists and probably always will to some degree, he contends that if people use that as an excuse, they will live a life that’s controlled by others. “The thing that changed me was my Mother made me read books. And I read books about people of accomplishment, and what I came to understand is that the person that has the most to do with what happens to you in life, is you. It’s not the environment, and it’s not somebody else.” The message that Dr. Carson said should be promoted is that “you can take control of your own life,” a message that Jackson, Sharpton, Obama and Eric Holder reject because of their desire to get minorities addicted to government dependence because it gives them more power. “You can have a life that’s completely controlled by others, or you can take complete control of your own life,” Carson articulated. “We must instill the ‘can-do’ attitude in America, not the ‘what can you do for me’ or ‘what have you done to me’ attitude,” Dr. Carson proclaimed. “There’s a culture here of racial harassment of black people,” Jackson, who once said he wanted to cut Obama’s “nuts out,” argued, bringing up the Rosa Parks bus incident of 1955, almost 60 years ago, while citing the black unemployment rate that has ironically gotten significantly worse under Barack Obama. Dr. Carson graciously thanked Jackson for his work, decades ago, with Martin Luther King, but admitted that they view the problem from completely different perspectives. “The worn-out policies of the do-gooders have not helped the black community,” Dr. Carson asserted. Woody Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 My personal experience regarding race: I find that whites have no issue with being with blacks. But I also find that many blacks are racist and do indeed have issues in working or being around whites. This deserves a big hmmmmmm Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. As a parent I would much rather have Dr. Carson as a mentor or example to my sons than the likes of Jessie Jackson. What is it that disturbs people? Raised by a single mother in a circumstances most claim is a sure road to failure,rising to the heights he has is not something all parents should aspire to? Someone that didn't use skin color,single parent,economic hardship for an excuse for failure and to make promoting that a lifetime career.
