Administrators Gail Posted September 4, 2014 Administrators Posted September 4, 2014 As I go through members' profiles, I am seeing that many of you need to upload new avatars. But you will find that manoeuvring photos is much easier now. And you can use a regular photo as an avatar without having to resize it. Please check to make sure that all is well with your access and your profiles! Pam will be happy to know that she can change the time zone. But it would be great if everyone can update whatever profile info they want visible. This is a funner place now, don't you think? Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 4, 2014 Members Posted September 4, 2014 I'd already found the time zone feature. Easy to set. I'm still puzzled about image loading. It says you only can have a 500KB total. "You have used 8.81MB of 500KB 100% You have 30 attachments (100% used) Looks like I can't attach any photos unless I delete everything I've ever posted... TruthSeeker123 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Stan, if I may make a suggestion, why not have the users themselves choose in which order they view posts in a thread via a dropdown list? Stan 1 Quote
Administrators Gail Posted September 4, 2014 Author Administrators Posted September 4, 2014 Is there a way to switch the format, to view the last post of a thread first, rather than the first one and having to scroll through the whole thread? Yes, I saw that. I think it is on the right hand side and says, Go to the first unread post. Something like that. Otherwise I have clicked on the last page of the series of pages given on the left Stan 1 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 4, 2014 Members Posted September 4, 2014 I don't have an option to go to the first unread post. And I get an error message if I click the "View New Content" on the upper right. It seems to think I'm trying to do a "search" : "Oops! Something went wrong! Administrators Gail Posted September 5, 2014 Author Administrators Posted September 5, 2014 Yes, I did find the "Go the the first unread post" again (Good- I wasn't imagining things!). Sometimes it's hard for me to know what each of the member groups can see or if something is a "staff only" kind of thing. I see that the chat room is up :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

JoeMo Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Is there anything coming up that resembles the shout box? I've been to the chat room several times and I'm all alone. It seems you can only have a conversation with people who are there at the same time you are. Quote
Administrators Gail Posted September 6, 2014 Author Administrators Posted September 6, 2014 what do hashtags do? Just like in Twitter when you create your topic you can add key words to help you or anyone search the topic. I can see that as being a real time saver! Examples: clever, twins, exciting, greatoutdoors, storm. I don't think you even need to put a # before the word but no one will stop you if you do I put examples in the album I created in the photo gallery. It looks like it's working- ready for more!
