Administrators Gail Posted November 12, 2014 Administrators Posted November 12, 2014 I am not sure who on here is friends with NeilD, but as you may or may not be aware, he has been sick for a few years now with a type of liver cancer. Today he posted a heartfelt message about dying on Facebook, just some of his thoughts. 3 of us who are his FB friends have responded. It would be nice at this point if we who think of him and remember him from Clubadventist could also express some encouraging words. JoeMo, ChildofChrist and Naomi 3 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted November 13, 2014 Moderators Posted November 13, 2014 Gail, please tell Neil I'm praying for him. I don't "do" Facebook, so I hadn't heard about his illness. Liver cancer is a terrible thing. Hopefully the doctors will be able to treat it so as to give him back his health. Don't despair, Neil. God is with you. We all are facing Christ's return, when all sickness will be abolished forever. It won't be long now. Moderators LynnDel Posted May 4, 2015 Moderators Posted May 4, 2015 He has been chronicling his journey, often with amazing positivity and humor, sometimes understandably discouraged, often thoughtful. He stopped by our place last summer while traveling through. He was feeling good at the time, on a break between treatments, and looked great. It was great to have a short visit, longer would have been nice. I don't think he ever sits still for long if he has anything to say about it. Liz, Gail, Stan and 2 others 5 Quote LD

Members phkrause Posted May 4, 2015 Members Posted May 4, 2015 He's in my prayers everyday. Miss him posting here, but I do catch him on FB. Not as much as I'd like!! Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted May 4, 2015 Moderators Posted May 4, 2015 Yes, please tell him I'm thinking of him too. And praying for his improvement. As for myself, I don't fear death. It's the dying process which I fear. Hopefully he can have some medical or hospice care to ease things for him. Moderators lazarus Posted May 5, 2015 Moderators Posted May 5, 2015 Gail, I couldn't see the FB post you are talking about. Can you PM me? I've responded to other posts before but I can't see this one. It was fun to meet and get to know Neil a couple of years ago when we hung out at bit in Baltimore. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Administrators Gail Posted May 5, 2015 Author Administrators Posted May 5, 2015 Yes, he knows quite a few of us personally. I'm sure he could use some visits now and some support Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
