Administrators Gail Posted April 11, 2015 Administrators Posted April 11, 2015 English Bay is suffering from an oil slick right now. I believe that the ship responsible is a grain carrier from Korea. Not good. Some beaches are now affected with the gooey sludge of crude oil. Administrators Gail Posted April 11, 2015 Author Administrators Posted April 11, 2015 Kitsilano, sea wall, 1st Beach, and I thought I saw Vanier Beach as well. Needs WD-40 to remove. Yuck! fccool Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That's too bad, and not because I'd love to see the place some day. I'm sure they will clean it up in no time though. Quote

B/W Photodude Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 English Bay is suffering from an oil slick right now. Really too bad. Love those ferries through the San Juan Islands to Victoria and Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay. And that one bay by Vancouver with the gas station out in the middle of it was "different"! Administrators Gail Posted April 12, 2015 Author Administrators Posted April 12, 2015 Yes, those are located near Stanley Park. I am not sure who uses those, boats or seaplanes. Maybe both! Stan Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 An interesting comment on that photo is that, in Canada, Chevron is only allowed to have a Chevron Fuel Station in the Province of BC.
