The same goes for the Bass drum, which produces a rather squishy sound when struck with drum sticks. Incidentally, most musicians would rather eat their drum sticks fried rather than banging on squishy Bass drums. The Corn-net is, obviously, a vertical net with dried ears of corn placed in it. When struck with great force, the corn actually pops, making a great whistling, percussive sound. The other musicians must pay attention, otherwise they could be struck with pop corn or inhale it in their instruments. The Chimney Fluet is extremely difficult to play unless you have really big lips. It tends to sound much like a fog horn. The Sacks-o'-phones tend to be unpredictable due to numerous different ring tones and erratic timing of calls. The French-fried Horns kind of remind one of croissants, only crustier.
