God kills perspective: "I [God] will strike the Shepherd. . . . We esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God" (Mark 14:27; Isaiah 53:4). God abandons perspective: "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Mark 15:34).            [NOTE:  I have corrected a typo in the chapter for Mark, above--GM.]
