Star Signs

How many are aware of the star sign that is upcoming on September 23rd 2017,  the one with the Virgin with 12 stars at her head clothed in the Sun and the Moon at her feet, which is how Virgo will be at that point- the only time since 3 BC that she has been portrayed that way.

Seems significant to me.  Anyone else looking at this?

I think it's interesting.  Not sure that the scriptures would use Greek and Roman astrologic mythology in Revelation... might, though.

I've been looking at it all day today. I think that there's something going on with it, but I'm not sure what. I think something might happen around 11/21 but I don't know what it could be. On 11/14 we get the biggest super moon since 1948, and then seven days latter on 11/21 Jupiter enters into the body of Virgo to begin the Revelation 12 sign. Actually, where we might be right now, it might be easier to get the timing right rather than to know what event is coming next. I had previously hoped that the worst of it would occur quickly over a short number of days leading up to the Lord's return. 420, 430 or 445 days being a third of 1260, 1290 or 1335.

I don't know what that Revelation 12 sign is all about. I don't know what it means is going to happen. All that I have done with it so far is to count the days in between the various dates relating to the movements of the celestial bodies. I've been looking at the work done by two of the video guys and the one who found it. I don't agree with the eschatology of these fellows but they may have some of the timing right. It looks like something is going on but I don't know or certainly am not sure of what it is. I would be more worried about claiming that nothing will happen until next autumn  and then have the first trumpet fall in a few weeks.

I'm not a seven year tribulation guy so in 2013 I found what I thought could be the celestial event that Jesus was talking about in the Olivet. Just by counting the days in between the solar and lunar eclipses that are 14 days apart I found numbers of days that look like these ones:

So if Joel 2's sun "turned into darkness" is "before" and then Matthew 24's "darkened" sun is "immediately after" then 1372 looked like a fit:

The other thing is that we get a total solar eclipse for the first solar, "turned into darkness". Then the second or Matthew solar eclipse is a partial where the sun is merely "darkened". This seems to match the Script.

Then the next thing is that when I count backwards from the last day solar eclipse for exactly 1290 days, I find what I think is the abomination of desolation.

Then now with this Revelation 12 sign, if I count from the day that Jupiter enters into the body of Virgo until that last day partial eclipse there are 777 days.

The first location on the planet to witness this "darkened" sun begins on a future January 5 at 11:34 PM. The last location to see this partial eclipse end will culminate on Jan 6 at 3:48 AM.

Wouldn't this make it impossible to know which day or which hour?

Closest supermoon since 1948!

The supermoon (perigee full moon) on November 14, 2016, will bring the moon closer to Earth than it has been since January 26, 1948. What’s more, the moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034. That makes the November 2016 full moon the closest and largest supermoon in a period of 86 years!

This guy from Africa has an interesting perspective on the Revelation 12 sign. I don't agree with his eschatology but I tend to get worked up when watching these videos. He seems sure something is going to happen. As I have previously found the events of Shoemaker-Levy 9 to be peculiar in 1994, this author's mention of it in a supposed relation to the Revelation 12 sign seemed strange. Maybe a little spooky.

I agree.  That being said, there are other parallels between scripture and mythology as well.  Don't know if I buy the parallels, though.

I don't know if the star alignment means anything.  If I follow through the prophecy in Rev. 12, a dragon appears ready to devour the child.  Is there a "dragon" constellation near Virgo?

I still believe that the virgin in Rev. 12 represents God's chosen people throughout time - the Jews in vs. 1 - 5; and the present/future "spiritual" Israel in vs. 6 - 13.

About a month ago, I sort of pooh-poohed this idea.  This week in Sabbath School, we were studying Jesus birth.

There's a video, "The STAR of Bethlehem" that's probably very available this time of year.  It goes into that configuration back on Sept 11, of 3BC. 

I am very convinced that "something" is about to happen.  Just what, remains to be seen.  It could be that Iran will obliterate Jerusalem with an atomic bomb.  THAT could be the attack of the "dragon" against the "virgin".  That would start the whole end time process, with rebuilding the Temple where the Evil One will finally sit "showing himself that he is god". 

I've been convinced for years, that Jesus would return 2000 years from His death.  That would put His return at 2031 or 2033 (15 or 17 years from now).  But we know the time will be "shortened".  By just how much - we don't know.
