B/W Photodude Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I was loaned a set of DVDs at church and found them to be quite interesting. Checking them out on Youtube, I found all of them. So, I decided to share the links here. Topics included a discussion of the Omega apostasy, spiritual formation, The One Project, and a number of other topics considered to be related. JoeMo Posted October 11, 2017 Posted October 11, 2017 I watched the first 30 minutes of the first video listed; and had to turn it off because of the inaccurate statement of facts and the fear-mongering and control being preached. For example, I have participated in several "emerging church" activities; and none of them - NOT ONE - has reached out to non - Judeo-Christian religions. In fact, all of them were interested in getting away from a relationship with man-made denominationalism and into a relationship with Father, Son, and Spirit. It criticized meditation. Look at a concordance and see in the Bible how many of our heroes practiced meditation on the words of God. IMHO, stuff like this stifles people's motivation to get closer to God, trying to convince them to ignore anything but what the denomination spews forth. CoAspen and rudywoofs (Pam) 2 Quote

I found nothing in the beginning of the sermon but a discussion of various comments by Ellen White. So, it would seem you are calling her innaccurate, fear-mongering and the like. You could have been more specific as to what exactly you were referring to. I suspect you are going over board with statements like "what the denomination is spewing forth." Yes, there are warnings there, but some very real and specific warnings are given in the Bible. Not sure what you do with those warnings. Jesus also directly spoke warnings on the send times. But you are free to ignore whatever seems to you to be fear mongering. I posted the links for those who may have missed this series and would like the opportunity to watch them. Some really do pay attention to these. But again, sorry to have distressed you. phkrause 1 Quote >>>Texts in blue type are quotes<<< ***************************************************************************** And therefore as a stranger give it welcome.
