B/W Photodude Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I have read thru much of a number of threads on endtime prophecies here at Adventistan and elsewhere and it never ceases to amaze me of some of what I read. It seems that people have literary shoehorns to squeeze events and people into prophecy which really does not belong. One of the wildest ones I have read is a recent attempt to put Monica Lewinsky into Bible prophecy! Who other than Jesus and Cyrus were prophesied in the Bible? At the First Advent of Jesus, the religious people were seriously studying their Scriptures to have an idea when the Messiah would come. And He was walking among them! They had little clue. I tend to believe there there will be errors of understanding which will be even more egregious before the Second Advent. One person I know frequently uses the illustration of the devil and he will say the devil will dance you all around the cross and you will never see Jesus. Given that probably few on this earth understand Bible prophecy as well as Satan, I suspect he will dance people all thru prophecy and you will will never see the meanings behind it. Like Paul said in Timothy, "Ever learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth." I see many trying to render an interpretation of prophecy and who also clearly exchange Bible doctrines for the teachings of men. This situation brings to mind John the Baptist when he said to the religious leaders of the day, "Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" phkrause 1 Quote >>>Texts in blue type are quotes<<< ***************************************************************************** And therefore as a stranger give it welcome. B/W Photodude Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Another issue that concerns me regarding interpreting prophecy is time setting. While we have had warnings regarding setting times for the Second coming, I tend to believe that all prophecies with a time component have been fulfilled and there are none to be watched for in a timing sense. I found this section from Testimonies, p 307-308: Many who have called themselves Adventists have been time setters. Time after time has been set for Christ to come, but repeated failures have been the result. The definite time of our Lord's coming is declared to be beyond the ken of mortals. ... Because the times repeatedly set have passed, the world is in a more decided state of unbelief than before in regard to the near advent of Christ. They look upon the failures of the time setters with disgust; and because men have been so deceived, they turn from the truth substantiated by the word of God that the end of all things is at hand . Those who so presumptuously preach definite time, in so doing gratify the adversary of souls; for they are advancing infidelity rather than Christianity. They produce Scripture and by false interpretation show a chain of argument which apparently proves their position. But their failures show that they are false prophets, that they do not rightly interpret the language of inspiration. The word of God is truth and verity, but men have perverted its meaning. These errors have brought the truth of God for these last days into disrepute. ... Those who think they must preach definite time in order to make an impression upon the people do not work from the right standpoint. The feelings of the people may be stirred and their fears aroused, but they do not move from principle. An excitement is created; but when the time passes, as it has done repeatedly, those who moved out upon time fall back into coldness, darkness, and sin, and it is almost impossible to arouse their consciences without some great excitement. I would be careful of predicting a time for anything going into the future. Of course, I tend to see understanding prophecy more of a map to where we have been rather than where we are going. I myself have posted my opinions on plausible end-time scenarios; and hopefully I have made it clear that they are just my thoughts/opinions rather than a "thus sayeth the Lord". I really get frustrated when I see how one particular poster expresses things down to the smallest detail with great certainty, even though he has been consistently wrong on this forum as far as I remember. That being said, I do believe we are in the time of the end. I have no idea when it will happen, but most of us will likely be around when it does unless we die an untimely death. The gospels say the deceptions will be so believable as to deceive the very elect - if it were possible. With the prophesied apparent defeat of JudeoChristianity, I believe one of the main deceptions will be that the God of the Bible ain't as powerful and loving as the Bible says He is. Many people already believe that. The love of many [believers towards God - my insert] will wax cold. B/W Photodude and phkrause 2 Quote

The only person that I know of that predicted time to day is Pastor David Gates. I and others have written to him about this false prediction. I know of no other SDA who have made this claim. If you know of others would like to know. No one knows when the Time of Trouble will begin. There are signs that we are very close even at the door and we should get ready! The Bible does give you actual time or length of the Time of Trouble which will be 3 1/2 years, 1 hour or two months that the earth will not have an intercession and the wise will hear the time of YAHSHUA'S coming. These are in Daniel Chapter 12; Rev Chapters 11; 14; 17; 18. Again, I will repeat we do not know when the Time of Trouble will begin and all of these times will take place one after the other. Only when the Time of Trouble begins will the other times start will be known and the righteous will be bless to hear THE FATHER speak the time of HIS SON'S coming is now on the way. Time of Trouble: 1,260 days, 42 months or 31/2 years. No ones knows when this time will begin. Two class will be resurrected those who crucified YAHSHUA and many will awake for everlasting life. They will assist the 144,000. The 144,000 will have power like Moses to bring down the wrath of YAHWEH and to preach and reap the harvest of souls known as the great multitude. Time No Intercession: It will start at the end of the Time of Trouble -1,290 days it will begin and will be 1 hour or 2 months. The beast will come from the bottomless pit, The image to the beast is worshiped and is alive! Armageddon will take place, Babylon is judge which is the whore and Jerusalem will be destroyed for third and final time. YAHSHUA is preparing to come. THE BLESSED TIME: THE FATHER announces HIS SON is on the way, the righteous understand the wicked does not! Those blessed to stand until the 1,335 days are the ones saved. Both the wicked and the righteous will see YAHSHUA coming at the end of this time. This includes no intercession and 15 days before the 15 days begins THE FATHER tells the righteous HE is on the way and the end of those 15 days HE will be seen in the clouds of GLORY! The beast and false prophet is place in the Lake of Fire, birds have their supper, Satan for the first time is cast into prison or the bottomless pit where his angels will return with him and they all will be in prison for a thousand years. All of the above is in the Bible Chapters given. Just a presentation read for yourself! Be Blessed! JoeMo 1 Quote

Photodue: Miller was not a Seventh Day Adventist. SDA came out of his movement and he thought YAHSHUA was coming to cleanse the earth. "My principles in brief, are, that Jesus Christ will come again to this earth, cleanse, purify, and take possession of the same, with all the saints, sometime between March 21, 1843 and March 21, 1844." Quoted in Everett N. Dick, William Miller and the Advent Crisis, p. 96–97 It was Samuel S. Snow who brought in the 7 month message which was called, "the midnight cry." October 22, 1844 was accurately calculated for the Day of Atonement, however the Millerites thought YAHSHUA was to return. It was Hiram Edison who was revealed the truth in a vision. It was already in the Bible Revelation Chapters 4-6; which is the complete investigated judgment. SDA still do not fully understand it completely but Hiram had the vision and if they had accepted the 1888 message they would realize that the Book of Life deals with the entire world. Names starting with the Adams either remain in the Book or are blotted out. That means everyone! John 3:16 SDA do not understand that the horse are the earth and the condition of the earth because of man was affected as well. There are only four horse as there are only four winds! The first two Adams are the first riders on the white horse when the earth was perfect! In the SDA Commentaries this view was accepted but most SDA accept that YAHSHUA is the rider which makes no sense. HE is THE SECOND ADAM and HE will return riding a white horse with the host of angels. The Adams had to be judge first which makes sense because sin started with them. Now, I have not heard any SDA predict exact time but the person I provided, so can you provide the sources where others are making this prediction please! No names just the source! Thank You! Quote

In short, such would not be fair to those people and we do not want such a list here to generate discussion as to whether or not the charge was true. Unfortunately for a couple of reasons, this is clearly wrong. Jesus Himself defined just who the reapers were to be and they are angels. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (There is a contingent of people who died under the three angels message who will also be resurrected early and will be alive to see the coming of the Lord.) The word angels actually mean messengers and I advise you to look at Matthew 13:36-43. The main theme of this parable is concerning what will happen to the tares. But you need to understand the importance of the first and second fruit and why since sin, people would play an important part in salvation. Starting with the call of Abraham he was sent to into Canaan. Prejudice and a major cover up about Ham has cause the true history of worship to THE ALMIGHTY to be overlook; which has always been Satan’s plan. YAHWEH came to the Canaanites first and he sent Abraham to those who were still faithful to HIM! Here Abraham learned from the Amorites and Melchizedek the true meaning of worship. Many of the Canaanites had stop worshiping THE MOST HIGH and that is why the five cities were wiped out! When Jacob truly became converted, he received a name that YAHSHUA gave of his struggle and endurance of overcoming. This name was significant for all who will join in the House of Prayer of THE ALMIGHTY ELOAH, THE FATHER! The children of IsraEL also had to learn about soul winning. They were giving the original Calendar and Holy Appointed times that were giving to the Adams in the beginning of Creation. Through gardening they were taught how to reach souls. The first fruit represent those who were first converted to preach the Gospel to the second fruit! The Bible states very clearly that the Gospel or Good News will be preach throughout the whole world and then the end of this world will come or be completed! Matt 24:14 Because IsraEL did not witness or preach the Gospel they fell short of the message. Instead, the begin to worship Baal and follow the other nations. YAHWEH took them from their land and their homes and place them first in Babylon. The reason was to save souls and the first soul save was Nebuchadnezzar! Yes, there were other people from other nations that were saved but it was not done on a major scale. So, Paul was called to preach to Japheth children. Both Ham and Shem children had been called to preach the Gospel worldwide and they fail and now Japheth children, the eldest would be given the same call! However, each son’s children fail and call on gods instead of THE CREATOR and THEIR TRUE NAMES! But from Gen 3:15 to Rev 12:17 a seed would become the one who would be call from all nations of Noah’s three sons to finish the work! YAHWEH is no respect of persons! That is why the Scriptures all fit the total picture Matt 25:1-10; Dan 12:1-3; Rev 7:1-4. The Chapter below is a part of Matt. 13: 36-39. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow THE LAMB whithersoever HE goeth. These were redeemed from among people, being the firstfruits unto ELOAH and to THE LAMB. And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud like, resembling, the same as unto the SON of Adam, having on *the head a golden crown, and in the hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to the one that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. And another angel came out of the temple, which is in Heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of ELOAH. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. Rev 14:4, 14-20 TS2009; HRB * 444 (anthrōpos) relates to both genders (male and female) as both are created in the image of God. Bible Hub HELPS Word-studies The wise virgins are both male and female together who are the 144,000 that will finish the work. When YAHSHUA is dealing with HIS Heavenly messengers they are call HIS or they are in the Temple of THE FATHER. They also are flying from Heaven to earth. The three angels in this chapter are flying in the middle of the sky. (You can look it up!) SDA overlook the Greek word “allos,” there were others and the last three had three very important events to pronounce. The Greek word to fly is used but these were not YAHSHUA angels that is taught in most churches; these are the virgins or the 144,000 flying or swiftly moving around the earth. The Chapter shows why they are receiving the special reward and recognition because of the work they done and been faithful and over comers like Jacob. They have a message to give to the world and especially the great multitude. The Bible state very clearly, they will come out during the Time of Trouble which also is call the Great Tribulation; the Wrath of both THE FATHER and THE LAMB that will be executed on the earth. It will stir those from all nations and kindred of the earth to accept the truth. Yes, signs will prove to all who will believe that THE ALMIGHTY ONES are real, and THEY do exist and THE FATHER, THE MOST HIGH should be worshipped! The Time of Trouble is not persecution on the saints, but the wrath on the wicked controlled and done by the saints! They will be helped by others, SDA believed that people who will be resurrected will all come under the Three angels’ message. However, Daniel did not write that at all! He said very clearly that some will arise for everlasting contempt and some will arise for everlasting life. The one for everlasting life will assist in finishing the work. Those for everlasting contempt will also prove the truth and they will feel the wrath of THE MOST HIGH and THE LAMB for their leadership in turning people from the truth. I believe it might be Cain, Nimrod, Antiochus IV Epiphanes, Napoleon, Hitler and others like them (now the Bible does not give names, so this is what I believe). 1 Thess 4:13-18 is referring to when YAHSHUA is seen in the clouds in the earth. The ones that is spoken in Daniel is a special resurrection of people during the Time of Trouble and that is made very clear. Rev 1:7 says that those who pierced HIM will also wake up at that time with all the saints call from the grave. You do not read anywhere that Paul calls them the remnant or the 144,000. What you read is those from the grave will arise and those who are alive and remain will together be caught up in the cloud to return to Heaven with YAHSHUA! Photodude, I truly appreciate what you wrote even though we disagree. It is about reading and putting it all together to see the complete picture; here a little, there a little. Again, I present, and people need to prayer, study calling on THE HOLY SPIRIT to lead them into all truth. It is a choice we all must make on our own. Thank You, be blessed and have a Happy Sabbath! The reason is very simple, they believed in the actual coming of YAHSHUA and not in the belief of the rapture that begin to take over the major churches at that time. She would had made it very clear if she was referring the SDA church. That is history and the facts, however you can choose to believe anything you want! I know of only during the Millerite movement that a time was selected. If you can give other sources to show otherwise please do so. Blessings! Quote

Jesus said so. What did YAHSHUA said please show! If you referring to Matthew 13: 41 saids very clear that YAHSHUA angels ( messengers), will gather up the tares. Revelation 14:19 says as I stated that an angel (messenger) who also had a sharp sickle came from the Temple. He gather in the bundle of unrighteous people and place them in the trough not the lake of fire! The reapers in Matthew are the remnant (144,000). You want to think differently that is on you and the Bible does not say what you claim. Blessings! Quote

I have seen, on other websites, lists containing as much as 100 names of SDAs who the website says are not teaching truth. No one who runs this website wants that to happen here. In short, such would not be fair to those people and we do not want such a list here to generate discussion as to whether or not the charge was true. So, as I stated, we have allowed minimal comments on occasion in the past. But, we do not want any more than that. So, any one who wants to send you a name, privately is welcome to do that privately. Thank you sir: I didn't know and do not want to break any policies. I agree with you about all those names who might be incorrect as well. I just want to make sure I am doing things right! You have enlighten me on this as well! Blessings! Quote

But those who have not died and are alive at the Second Coming are the 144,000. Everything in the Bible is relevant and how is stated must be accurate. Paul always was very specific when referring to truth. Many have taken his writings out of context. He would have made it very specific if he was referring to the 144,000 so there would not be any misunderstanding. That is why the Bereans did not need to be reproach. They listen and read for themselves to see what Paul said was so! So I differ with you on this very much! Relevant will be the very reason people will be lost or saved! Blessings! Quote
B/W Photodude Posted August 28, 2019 Author Posted August 28, 2019 It has been alleged here that the 144,000 would be the reapers of the saved at the Second Coming. Unfortunately, this is not what the Bible says, or SOP for that matter. In Revelation, the lead person with the Sickle for the reaping is Jesus Himself as He sits on the cloud. SOP says the angels are the reapers. While Jesus was the lead Reaper, the angels gather His people from the four corners of the Globe. You can read in Revelation that an angel was tasked with the reaping of the wicked. Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. The question might be, was the angel with the sickle in verse 19 also Jesus as His glory at His coming will destroy the wicked. Another interesting quote that I have read and am looking for again referred to how many when they hear their angel talk to them the first time will recognize the voice of their angel because they have heard their angel's voice before!
