"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”--Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”--Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
In our prayers for ourselves and others our focus is to be on knowing God, experiencing His reality, rather than on problems, diseases, or something else in the realm of the material.  In the presence of God human all needs are met and we are fulfilled at the deepest level.  Our own understanding of our greatest need is often obscured by our immediate needs but in communion with God we begin to see His understanding of us and our situation.  When we depend on human understanding we are limiting in our experience what God ALONE can do. “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord” is indeed to be our watchword (Exodus 14:13).
